Chapter Text
Angela is at the grocery store, grabbing some food to last a couple days. It's Thursday evening during a shoot week. She stopped filming a little earlier than everyone else, so she left early to get ahead of her chores.
She had just dropped about a week ago so she's feeling great. No headache, no fuzz, just her.
She has one headphone in, listening to music, and was distractedly shopping.
Since she had walked in expecting to only buy a couple things, she hadn't grabbed a cart. Now that her hands are full, she's too stubborn to go back for one.
She walks down the frozen food aisle, looking back and forth at each side when it happens.
She walks right past a slippery when wet sign, and slips.
She falls forward and with her full hands, her reaction is delayed. The food flies out in front of her, and she attempts to catch her fall with her hands.
She yelps loudly and immediately panic drops. Falling straight into littlespace and the ground

Angela curls into a ball, and cradles her wrist to her chest while crying softly. She's trying to be quiet, but she's scared and in pain, making it much more difficult.
A younger looking woman rushes into the aisle from the sound of Angela's scream and sees her lying on the floor.
She rushes over and crouches down next to her.
“Are you ok?” The woman asks gently and Angela looks up at her in fear, doing her best attempts to scramble away with her hurt wrist.
The woman holds her arms up in a non-threatening gesture. “You're ok kiddo, my name is Jess, I just wanna help you.” She says gently
Angela blinks at her, stopping her backwards movement.
“There we go,” she praises. “Can you tell me your name?” She asks and Angela shakes her head.
“That's ok,” she reassures gently. “You're in luck, I’m a nurse in the little’s wing at the hospital.” She explains, gesturing to her scrubs.
“I can see your wrist hurts, can I take a look at it for you?” She asks gently.
Angela hesitantly looks between her wrist and the woman before sniffling and holding out her arm.
Jess smiles softly at her, lightly grabbing her arm to check her wrist. She doesn't have to attempt to bend it to tell it's broken.
She gives the little a sad smile. “I think it’s broken, bud.” She says sadly and Angela starts crying again.
The woman looks around curiously “Are you here alone?” She asks gently, and Angela nods, still sniffling and crying.
“Is there someone you can call?” She asks and Angela nods again, struggling to take her phone out of her pocket.
She gets it out of her pocket and calls Chanse.
It rings a couple times, but on the last ring he picks up.

It's Chanse's last shoot of the day, and it's Smosh Mouth.
He's sitting between Amanda and Shayne at the table when his phone rings.
While you're not supposed to have your notifications on during filming, the exception is for emergency contacts, specifically littles. Both his and Amanda's phones will ring for Angela, and Shayne's will for Courtney.
When his phone rings everyone looks at him in alarm. They quickly cut as Chanse rushes to get his phone from the phone cart and rushing back, knowing Amanda will want to be there too.
He sits down, and answers.
“Angie? Are you ok?” he asks the second he answers, trying his best to not sound scared.
“Chansey” she whines, clearly sounding like she's crying.
“What's going on sweetheart?” He asks gently, but with a clear edge of anxiety.
He hears another whine before a stranger's voice comes through the phone.
“Hello, are you her caregiver?” She asks, and Chanse gets even more concerned.
“Basically. Where is she? What's going on?” He answers and asks quickly.
“She's at the store. She slipped and I'm pretty sure she broke her wrist.” The woman explains, and he could hear Angela make another sad noise through the phone.
Chanse is already moving, and Amanda is following him. “I'm at work, but I'm on my way right now, can you give her the phone back?”
“I'm off work for the day, so I'll stay with her until you get here,” the woman says as she hands the phone back to Angela.
“Manda and I are on our way, Angie.” He exclaims, rightly assuming that Amanda would be coming with him.
He rushes through the office to get to his car, Amanda at his side. The two attempt to comfort her through the phone as they drive as fast as they can towards her.

They rush into the store and practically run to the aisle Angela is in.
When Angela finally sees them she bursts into tears, both relieved to see them and scared for what's gonna happen next.
They both drop to her side and she clambers into Chanse's arms, holding her good arm out to Amanda.
She sobs into his shirt as Amanda rubs her back.
Chanse turns to the woman that had stayed with Angela. “Thank you so much for staying with her.” He says genuinely and she smiles softly at the group.
“Anything for little in need.” She replies as she stands up. “Good luck kiddo, tell them you know Jess, It'll get you the good stuff.”
She waves and walks away, leaving the group behind.
Angela pulls her face out of Chanse's chest and looks up at him. “Ouchie.” She whines, clutching at her wrist.
“I know Angie, we gotta go get you all fixed up.” He explains gently, helping her up as he also stands.
The trio exits the store, and Chanse drives them to the ER, with Amanda in the back comforting Angela.

It takes over an hour, but Angela is sitting in Amanda's lap and holding Chanse's hand when they finally call her back to get her cast after her X-ray.
They walk back to a small room, decorated for littles and kids, and they resume their previous positions.
Amanda holds her loosely in her lap as Angela looks through color choices.
“You'll have to pick something good for work.” Chanse reminds her when she looks up to him for help.
She looks back down at the colors and patterns with a small pout. She'd known already that she couldn't get a fun design, but that doesn't make her less sad.
It takes her a few minutes, but she finally points at a light blue, looking between both adults for reassurance.
Amanda kisses her temple. “Good choice, Ang.”
“Blue’s a good color.” Chanse agrees and Angela smiles softly at the praise
Angel buries her face in Amanda and squeezes Chanse's hand as the nurse wraps her arm.
The two whisper comforting words to her and after a few minutes it's over.
She looks at her cast with interest as Amanda and Chanse help the nurse get a sling on her.
With her cast covered by the sling she looks up at the nurse for the first time since they entered. “Jess.” She says, and he looks at her confused.
Chanse explains for her. “Jess helped her after she fell. She said to say we know her.”
The man nods, and slips out of the room. A couple minutes later he comes back with a bin of sticker rolls and candy.
“For a friend of Jess, pick a roll and a couple chocolates.” He says with a small smile.
Angela looks between the three adults and with three nods she reaches into the bin and pulls out a small roll of puppy stickers and a few Reese's.
She clumsily signs thank you to the nurse and hands her treasure to Chanse.
The two adults thank him as he walks them out to the waiting room.
They get to Chanse's car and he takes them all to Angela's apartment.
Spork's gotta eat.
