Work Text:
Tony squinted at his espresso machine, and then back at his bowl of cereal. The milk was sitting on the counter top, where he left it. He hadn't actually poured any milk into it, yet. He bit his lip, as he mulled over the question in his mind. He was tired and hangry, and a little extra caffeine never hurt anyone before, right? What's the worst that could happen?
“What if I pour coffee in my cereal, instead of milk?” Tony asked himself, aloud. Stephen scoffed beside him. He placed a hand on the espresso machine, before gently steering Tony away from the caffeinated goodness.
“What if you don't?” Stephen retorted, shaking his head. “Tony, when's the last time you slept?” He pressed. Tony opened his mouth, and then subsequently closed it. His brow furrowed, and then frowned.
“I can't remember. JARVIS, when's the last time I slept?” He asked, instead.
“You slept four days ago, sir.” JARVIS replied. Stephen began to steer Tony to his bedroom.
“See, that's not that long ago. It's not like I'll be able to sleep, if I lie down, anyway.” Tony protested.
“You're laying down, and that's final.” Stephen put his foot down.
“I'll just have nightmares, if I sleep alone.” Tony mumbled.
“Then I'll sleep with you. Come on, we'll have a nap.” Stephen decided. Tony couldn't argue with that, now, could he?
