Summary
After the upside down has been shut, life returns to normal. Everyone seems to be able to go back to their previous lives. Everyone except Will Byers. Will, who still feels slugs climbing up his throat whenever he hears gagging. Will, who hasn't slept in five days, scared of losing autonomy over his body. Will Byers, who almost watched everyone he loves die in front of his eyes, all to save him. Will, who didn't believe he was even worth saving
So Will starts to distance himself from everyone, finding peace in weed and cigarettes. He is able to feel lighter than it all. When his limbs start to feel too heavy, the blood spilling from his slit wrists always makes him feel lighter.
But what happens when people start to notice. Start to notice him skipping class, and coming back smelling vaguely of skunk and too much cologne. What happens when the distance between them becomes too much for Mike to handle? When happens when Mike see's his scars?
OR: Will becomes extremely depressed and develops PTSD a couple months after the parties adventures in the upside down, and starts to cope with his issues through weed and self-harm. Mike Wheeler notices, and can't stand it, especially after the revelations he's had.
