If they kept this up, they’d be sure to break every single one of the rules she had set. Elphaba knew somewhere that they were just trying to upset her while they knew Galinda couldn’t see what they were saying, and she hoped that they would shape up in the girl’s presence, but nerves still racked her body. She had warned Galinda that her friends could be assholes, but she still didn’t want them being assholes to her. Elphaba was the person Galinda could come to in order to feel safe, and the last thing she wanted was for her stupid friends to ruin that.
Galinda and Elphaba have been dating for a few weeks since Galinda was paid to have sex with her, but Galinda has yet to meet Elphaba's friends. Somehow, it keeps getting pushed off, but it can't wait any longer, and Elphaba is worried that they will be disrespectful towards her new girlfriend on account of her job.
