Chapter 1: The Semi-Accidental Date.
Gardenview entertainment facility, ~8:30 A.M.
Shelly's alarm blares for the third time, which this time, finally gets her up.
"Ughh gosh what time is it-"
Shelly glances at the clock, then finally crawls out of bed, cracks her joints, then gets dressed and heads out of her room.
Tisha, who was in the hallway cleaning up a small water leak, says to Shelly.
"Good morning, Shelly!"
"Good morning, Tisha. What's with the water leak?" Shelly inquired.
"I actually have no idea, Dandy had just asked for me to look for water leaks mainly on this floor. Anyways there might be some food up on the kitchen, i saw Cosmo and Ginger working on something a little bit ago" Tisha replied.
"Oh okay, thank you!"
So Shelly went up a floor and to the kitchen, where she could see Cosmo and Ginger making food at the counter, at the table Bobette, Sprout, and Vee, were all sitting and chatting, along with eating pancakes (except Vee)
Chatting off to the side was Dandy, Dyle and Astro, likely talking about something important.
Shelly then decided to walk over to where the rest of the mains were and take a seat, sitting down in-between Vee and Bobette.
"Good morning, guys" Shelly says, which seemingly none of them noticed, Except for Vee, who was looking at, no, admiring Shelly .
After a few minutes another round of pancakes were done, which to that Shelly got 2 pancakes and sat back down, which only then did Vee say;
"Good morning, shells. apparently Dandicus wanted to talk to you about something"
Shelly nodded, enjoying the pancakes. "probably something mundane like taking pebble on a walk cause he's too busy" She says, after finishing her food and standing up
As she approached the group of Dandy, Dyle and Astro, Shelly could hear Astro saying;
"Dandicus, please, send more than just Shelly and the others, at least send me along with"
Which to that he replies back, somewhat defensively
"Everyone else is busy, and on the topic of you, we need you up here for some things around here."
"Uhm, you wanted me to talk to you, Dandy?" Shelly interjects
"Right, Shelly. I am needing to send you, along with Looey, Scraps, Soulvester and Eclipse, On a supply run under gardenview, because there are some valuable things down there, along with things you and the other toons with you might be interested in, for example, you said you needed the third Jurassic Park movie because Shrimpo broke it?"
"Yeah, i don't know how that's relevant"
"There might be a copy down there, along with some other stuff you would want
"Alright, why just me and those 4?"
"Everyone else is busy with other tasks, And lastly, the run starts at 10 A.M. Tomorrow."
After saying that, Dandy, along with Dyle, walk off and out of the kitchen
Astro then turns to Shelly, Then says to her
"Dandy cannot guarantee your, or the other toons, return, I advise extreme caution down there."
Then he walks off, before Shelly can ask any questions
Shelly, deciding to try and make the most of her day before she has to go down into possible doom, decides to talk to one of her fellow mains.
Walking back to where most of the mains were hanging out, which at the moment was the kitchen, everyone seemed busy
Bobette was talking to ginger, Bassie was nowhere nearby, same with Gourdy, Vee was.. staring off at a wall, Sprout was chatting with Cosmo and baking, and Astro was asleep on a couch in the next room over.
"Uh hey.. Vee?" She calls out to Vee, who had only a small string of text on the top left of her screen being; 'Running Minesweeper.EXE' on her screen, which quickly switched to her normal face
"What's up?" She asks, in somewhat of a annoyed tone, but accidental
"Oh i was just wondering why you were staring at a wall?"
Vee, in response to Shelly's question, Switches her screen to her minesweeper gameplay
"Anything else, Ms. Fossilian?"
"Oh i was wondering if you wanted to hang out, cause i have to go on that run tomorrow" Shelly asked, quite nervously
After a few moments of consideration, Vee says "Eh, why not, what did you have in mind?"
"oh, uhm, do you wanna go down to my museum floor and like walk around and talk? cause we don't talk one on one that often"
"Yeah, why not?" Vee said warmly, trying to suppress a smile
So, off they went down to Shelly's old museum floor from when garden view was operational
They were the only ones there, except for Bassie, reading a book sitting on a couch in the area with the skeletal recreations of the different dinosaurs
For a couple hours they walked around, chatting about the different dinos or general gossip happening around gardenview
When, at around ~1:41 P.M. (About 3 hours after they came to this floor), Glisten comes onto the floor
"ok this is the LAST place i think to check for Vee, so unless she's getting freaky she's here- oh THERE you are, Vee, Look we need to talk"
The mirror says practically dragging Vee away
(Glisten and Vee)
"Look, Vee im gonna make this short, why are you all of a sudden hanging out with her, and don't try and deny this, i saw your gay robotic ass staring at Shelly during breakfast.
You catching the feels for her or something?"
"Whaaatttt nooo what do you mean...?" Vee says, trying to deny the fact that she was, in-fact, crushing on Shelly
Then, after a moment and seeing that Glisten wasn't falling for it, she says;
"Ok fine i am, its just she's so.. cute explaining and rambling on about dinosaurs, and yes i do already know all the facts, i just like making her feel seen, You know? She's one of the most forgotten mains, along with Bassie, But Shelly is so kind and adorable, unlike some of the more popular mains like.. eugh, Dandicus. Just don't tell anyone of i will tell people about that drunk kiss you and Rodger had at a Christmas party a year back"
"okay, fine, you got me there, anyways can i borrow your mic..?"
"Glisten that's the third time today, No."
"agh, alright, have fun you two, i dare you to kiss her tonight"
(Meanwhile... Shelly and Bassie)
"Hey, Shelly"
"What's up, Bassie?"
"Why are you and Vee hanging out all of a sudden? She usually ignores you or something"
"Oh well i wanted to hang out with someone and she was the only one i found that wasn't busy, She was also like, admiring me during breakfast and she seemed somewhat glad i asked her to hang out"
"Shells, I think she might have a crush on you"
"hmm, yeah that would make sense, though, i do kinda like her myself"
"Just, be careful, okay? i don't trust her that much"
"I will Bassie, i promise"
after about ~10 seconds, Glisten calls out from near the elevator; "I hope to see you guys at the couples only party thing I'm throwing later!"
"The what?!" Vee says, somewhat aggravated at this new thing to come up
"Anyways, Shelly, as you were saying?"
"Oh, Right, So the Sauroposedion, Which was discovered in Texas..." (blah blah blah autistic ramblings about dinosaurs)
around ~5, they decide to head back up to the main floor, along with Bassie, and while everyone is quiet in the elevator ride up, Shelly & Vee are holding hands, and as the doors open, nearly every toon is there, setting up or chatting to their partner, such as: Tisha and Brightney chatting and enjoying tea together, Soulvester straight up just there, Ginger and Bobette, Sprout and Astro, and more
Glisten, seeing Vee and Shelly holding hands, gives a small thumbs up to Vee, However, Bassie, being alone there, drifts towards another along person, being Soulvester
"Greetings, Miss Bassie."
"Hey Soulvester, you here alone too?"
"Mostly, I am mainly here accompanying sir Gourdy, cause he wanted to check out what was happening up here"
(Meanwhile...)
"So Shelly.. What are you doin after this?" Vee asks Shelly, as she eats some food
"Probably gonna watch a movie, unless you wanted to join me..?"
"Oh- uhm yeah definitely" she says, flushing nearly immediately
"if you would excuse me." Vee says, stepping away to go talk to Spout about what is happening, passing by Shrimpo and Teagan, who were making out
"Sprout, i need advice"
Sprout, who was talking to Astro about baking and stuff, turns to Vee "Who are you trying to ask out?"
"I'm not- well- I wanna confess to Shelly tonight or at least try and kiss her but i dont wanna fuck it up or rush it"
"One, i did not expect to see the day where you and her start being lovers, but just go with the flow, that's what i did"
"Alright, Thanks sprout" Vee says, walking back to Shelly, passing by Soulvester and Bassie who were talking while taking Gourdy back to his room, or at least off the floor
a while later, after the party (only things that really happened was Tisha and Brightney were caught in the middle of making out and getting a bit handsy in a closet and Shelly and Vee talking) Shelly and Vee were heading back to Shelly's room, to spend the night together
As they get into Shelly's room, Shelly quickly changes into her favorite Dinosaur pajamas (dinosnore skin), and they tuck into bed and get a movie up on the Tv, Being Jurassic park 1
During the movie Shelly starts to fall asleep on Vee, So Vee covers Shelly up, tucks her in with a smooch on the forehead, then plugs herself into the wall to charge, then goes into sleep mode for the night..
the next morning..
Shelly wakes up, being held by Vee, as a knock is present on the door
*Knock* *Knock* *Knock*
"huh...?" she answers groggily, as Dandy cracks the door open
"Hey just wan- sorry if I'm interrupting, but just wanted the give you a reminder about the run you have to go on today."
"..alright" Shelly replies, then after Dandy leaves, she gives Vee a kiss on the cheek, then lays there, debating getting up for the day.
