Chapter Text

Angela has noticed one disadvantage to regressing more regularly and on a schedule.

She can’t hold it back as well as she used to.

It used to be a survival thing for her, but as she got more comfortable with Chanse and Amanda, it had become harder, resulting in that first time she dropped at work.

Now with Amanda as her mama, she’s found it even more difficult.

Courtney says it’s normal, especially for younger littles like them. They need more little time than people like Spencer, or even Trevor. And in a safe situation, their body will try to take that time.

Angela can control it, she’s not regressing in videos or driving or anything, but she feels it more. She’s starting to think even a full day a week isn’t enough anymore.

Courtney said they spend a few hours every couple days and then one full day at least once every other week. They say it makes them feel the best, and it makes them feel more in control.

Other than that time being sick, Angela hasn't regressed off schedule yet, but today was a new day.

Angela is having brunch with Tommy on a Monday during an off week.

She’d felt slightly fuzzy as she sat down, but she pushed it away, ordered a drink, and fell into conversation with Tommy.

“So you and Amanda?” he asks and she chokes on her wine.

He laughs, “I meant as your caregiver, but this is more interesting.” he says, “What’s going on between you two?”

“Nothing!” yells Angela and people around them look at her.

Tommy laughs again, “Doesn’t sound like nothing Ang.” he tells her and she rolls her eyes.

“Nothing can happen, so nothing is.” she states firmly and he softens.

“But what do you want to happen?” he asks and she sighs.

“I don’t know.” she whines, “It’s hard to navigate all the different feelings I have about her. I don’t want to let feelings that might not even exist ruin my relationship with one of my best friends and caregiver.” she rambles

“I want to ask her to move in, or move together or something. But I don't want her to take it the wrong way, or think i’m a burden, or get tired of me or-” he cuts her off

“You’re basically the only thing that woman talks about, I doubt she can get tired of you.” he tells her and she smiles softly.

“Even without your obvious crush.” he continues and she smacks him over the table. “Moving in makes sense, Courtney and Shayne did it before they were dating.”

“They’re married, Tommy.” she reminds him and he laughs.

“Exactly.” he says and she smacks him again.

“I’m still thinking about everything.” she admits quietly

Tommy smiles reassuringly, “I’m just teasing you Ang, take your time with this. You know how long it took Chanse and I.”

Angela gives him a confused look. “You two don’t live together.” she tells him and he grins.

“Exactly”

Angela rubs her forehead for the fourth time in a couple minutes and Tommy speaks up.

“Are you ok, Ang?” he asks with mild concern and she nods.

“Just a bit fuzzy.” she tells him as she takes a bite from her food.

“Fuzzy enough that you’re uncomfortable.” he counters, “And you’re drinking.” he adds with a sigh as she takes a sip of her wine.

He gently moves her glass towards himself. “How long have you been fuzzy?” he asks softly and she shrugs, guiltily averting her eyes.

“You don’t have to push it back, we can grab the check and I can take you back to your apartment to hangout.” he tells her kindly.

“I didn’t want to ruin brunch.” she admits and he sighs softly.

“You’re not ruining it, you’re just changing it.” he tells her honestly, “This happens sometimes. Court, Spencer, they’ve both done it. I just want you to be safe Ang.”

Angela sighs, pushing her food around. “Since before we sat down,” she admits quietly, answering his earlier question.

He reaches over the table and grabs her hand.

“Sweetheart.” He whispers sadly, “I know I’m not Amanda or Chanse, but I’ve always got your back. That includes Angie.”

“Fine.” she mumbles, “Lemme finish my food, it’s delicious and I won’t eat it.”

Tommy laughs and signals the waiter for the check, turning back to his own food.

Angela finishes eating just as Tommy’s credit card is returned to the table.

“Are you sure?” she asks him, attempting to reach for her wine.

He pushes her hand away with a laugh. “Yes I'm sure.” He answers, filling out the tip.

She sighs, closing her eyes and covering her ears, letting herself slowly drop.

Angela opens her eyes and uncovers her ears slowly, blinking a couple times as her eyes focus.

“Hi Angie.” Says Tommy softly. “Are you ready to go home?” He asks

“Hi Tommy.” She mumbles as she stands up, clumsily grabbing her purse and reaching for his hand.

He takes it and leads her to his car, but when he opens the door for her she won't get in.

“What's wrong sweetheart?” He asks, bending down slightly to be at her height.

“Hug please.” She whispers and he hums, pulling the little into his arms. She melts into him with a small sigh as he rubs their back.

“I forgot you littler ones need this.” He remarks, “I'm so used to Chanse, he doesn't need it every time.”

“Chansey cuddle good.” She informs him and he chuckles.

“He is a great cuddler.” he agrees as Angela pulls away.

She climbs into the backseat of the car and clumsily buckles her seatbelt as Tommy gets into the front seat.

“I'm taking you to your place, unless there's anywhere else you wanna go.” He tells her, “Unless you wanna call your mama first to double check.”

Angela perks up, “Mama?” She asks excitedly and he smiles at her through the rearview mirror.

“How about you call her on your phone?” He suggests and she nods, digging through her purse to grab her phone. She clicks on Amanda's contact and the phone rings.

Amanda answers immediately, “Are you ok?” She whispers with mild concern.

“Hi mama!” She chirps happily, not recognizing Amanda's concern at all.

“Hi baby,” she whispers “Are you alright?”

“With Tommy, had brunch.” She explains and Amanda sighs with relief.

“Mama's at a callback baby.” She tells her gently. “If you're alright with Tommy, can mama get back to work?” She asks.

“Mama work important.” She insists. “Love you bye!”

“Love you baby, call again if you need me.” She whispers and she hangs up.

“Alright,” Tommy says “Your apartment then?” He confirms and with her nod he pulls out of the parking lot towards her home.
