The day after a home game is usually busy, Yuna has usually set up some sort of modeling, photo-shoot, commercial, something for them.
But not today.
Ilya had asked, more like argued, for a day off because they're both exhausted.
They love doing these events, mainly because they usually are set up together for them, but today they needed the break. Especially after their loss the night before, the team had played hard, had scored several times even, but they lost in the end by three points. It was their biggest loss yet, and it absolutely sucked.
The team had crashed at their house. Yes, they finally live together in a house. Ilya let Shane redesign the house he'd bought because he refused to leave the place they got married at. Shane broke his apartment lease, sold his building off, and moved fully into the house, helping it become a home just like their cottage.
It's perfection.
Wyatt, Bood, and Dykstra had already left before Shane woke up, saying goodbye to Ilya as he made coffee.
The others are still asleep in various positions, and places, in the house. Somehow, Luca and Tanner have ended up intertwined and half-under the coffee table.
They don't even really like each other, mainly because they've got like a sibling rivalry thing going on. But it's perfect because Tanner's been doing so well lately that Ilya can't even keep complaining about him.
Even if he still does because the kid still can't do media for shit.
He's getting better though, Luca is helping, so are Young and Holmberg.
Which is the other funny part because Luca and Tanner are practically one body, but they are not the only ones.
"What are you laughing at?" groans Shane as he steps up behind Ilya, arms wrapping around his waist as he nudges his arm with his head.
Ilya adjusts to hold Shane properly while nodding at their team and saying, "Luca, Tanner, Young, and Holmberg have become mess of limbs by coffee table. Octopus probably. Is funny."
"We gotta get a picture to send to Harris," snorts Shane before he drags out his phone and hands it to Ilya to snap a few pictures. "I love you."
"I love you too," replies Ilya as he leans down and brushes a kiss to Shane's lips, sighing when he's tugged in for more by a hand resting coolly on his cheek. "I gotta start breakfast, but your mug is full of coffee for whenever you're ready for it, мой принц."
"Thank you, мой дорогой," whispers Shane as he kisses his cheek before ducking out of his hold to get the coffee mug that he knows was left next to the coffee maker.
Ilya gets to work as Shane enjoys his coffee before getting Anya and taking her on a morning run.
They usually run together, but on days like this, they run separately, taking Anya with them, and then they usually have breakfast, curl on the couch, and lounge the rest of the day doing absolutely nothing other than making out, maybe making love, and falling asleep throughout the day in each other's arms.
Today will be slightly different, with the team still knocked out on the floor, no doubt staying for breakfast, but it will still be their best day off so far this season.
Shane loves a quiet morning in almost as much as Ilya does, and this is one of those perfect days.
