Summary
Before Gwi Ma’s rage appears, Baby Saja cuts in.
“What happened to the purple-haired one?”
He looks to the Saja boys and announces, “None of that matters anymore. The semi-demon has taken care of herself.”
They all pause their distractions.
Anger and dread squeeze Jinu’s chest tightly. “Meaning?”
“She’s gone to kill herself - on the ancient grounds no less!” Delight creeps in. “As they said, a demon doesn’t deserve to live; it's so obvious,” he says, not singing, but rhythmically.
Gwi ma turns to Jinu, chin lifted, ready for Jinu’s reaction.
Jinu teleports in a flash of indigo.What if things had gone a little differently at the end of Kpop Demon Hunters?
I extended the ending and created more in between scenes, as well as creating events in between Jinu’s betrayal and What It Sounds Like.
Basically, Jinu finds out Rumi’s gonna kill herself and has the reaction I wish he did, goes and saves her and they both go on an epic emotional journey before coming back for a more climactic but still the same What It Sounds Like ending.
