Dear Andy,

since I most famously remember your comments on my Tumblr Poetry, I decided to write you one. This is inspired by one of your comments on one of my latest works.

Thank you for the time you take to leave those comments. I am grateful for knowing you and blessed that you choose to share so much of yourself with us.

Every time I fall and falter

You pick me up and help me fly.

Every time I fail and dwindle

You are there to make it right.

Every time I feel forsaken

Like I’m lost and all alone

You are there to guide me home

And show me what love really means.

 

Loving you is just so easy

Because you always see the truth of me.

Loving you is never easy

But it’s all I ever want to do.

 

Every time my head’s a prison

You are there to pull me out.

Every time I lose a friendship

You are there to show me plenty.

Every time I hate myself

And criticise all I’ve ever done

You are there to show me love

And help me find my worth again.

 

Loving you is just so easy

I tell you every day, and more

Loving you will be forever

the truth of who I truly am.
