Summary
Angel looked back at his blank resolution.
He didn’t know what to put. There hadn’t exactly been a lot of stability in Angel’s afterlife. The only constant was Valentino, who Angel would not call stable by any stretch of the imagination.
He had hopes, sure. There was this new thing with Husk that he hoped would last. Ever since Christmas, they’d been inseparable outside of work hours. Husk had spent every night in Angel’s bed. But nothing good ever lasted long in Angel’s experience. He couldn’t promise that it would still be there the next time New Year’s Eve rolled around.
He glanced over at Husk again, where the cat was folding his paper up, making some quip to Niffty who had folded her own resolution into a miniscule paper crane. No matter how things went down, he supposed there was one thing he could try to resolve to do in the new year.
‘Make Husk happy,’ Angel scribbled onto his paper, folding it quickly before Husk could see, and dropping it into Vaggie’s bowl.
He just hoped he could make it come true.
