   Summary

   After years spent rebuilding the world—and somehow surviving the bureaucratic nightmare that is early Republic City—Zuko decides everyone deserves a break. His solution: a summer getaway on Ember Island, complete with sunshine, ocean breezes, and absolutely no chance of emotional catastrophe. Allegedly.
   Sokka is… less convinced. His ex‑girlfriend will be there, blissfully in love with her new girlfriend. Which is fine. Totally fine. He’s mature. He’s evolved.

   But that’s not the real problem.

   The real problem is the island itself—the place where he and Zuko once shared a moment so intimate and confusing that both of them tried to forget it.

   And Ember Island has a reputation. It peels people open. It forces truth to the surface. It has a way of turning “we don’t talk about that” into “we really need to talk about that.”

   So what happens when Sokka is trapped on a beach with his ex, his feelings, and the Firelord he maybe‑sort‑of‑accidentally kissed?

   Ember Island always reveals the heart. Sokka just isn’t sure he’s ready for his to be seen.
