Summary
Lily is Severus' best friend. He would do anything for her. She knows him better than he knows himself. So, when she tells him that she thinks he's in love with her, he throws his boundaries out the window and gives dating her a shot.
The misinterpreted feelings and forced interactions lead to a full-blown sexuality crisis and tension in their friendship. His pureblood roommates say that her way of thinking is so outdated and MUGGLE, so Severus learns to embrace wizarding culture and shun his muggle side. He doesn't mean to call her THAT word.
