Summary
Shane loved his Monday morning statistics class: He could get up early, head to C Building at eight o’clock and be back in his crappy, bare-walled dorm room by ten fifteen, after which he’d head to the gym, wear himself out as much as possible, and feel a sense of accomplishment before noon.
Shane did not, however, love his Wednesday night Introduction to English Literature class. Professor Paulson was a haughty Luddite who spent his sixty-minute classes reading off a script, no slide show to be had. Really, though, the worst thing about Introduction to English Literature was Ilya Rozanov, the pretentious transfer from St. Petersburg who was here on a stupid athletic scholarship – the same track that Shane had been on only four months earlier – for football, out of all things.
