    It’s routine, at this point.

    The first shot. The alarms. Shelter in place.

    They can’t predict it, but they all know it’s coming. Like a surprise assembly, or a fire drill, or a substitute teacher. The visit from the cops is just a monthly incursion.

    They’ve done this before. Even the idiot cop shooting through their window, instead of at his target, wasn’t new.

    What is new, and what makes today feel so different, is the blood wetting Cartman’s sleeve.
