A Demon, A Werewolf, and a Djinn Walk Into a Bar

Summary:

Namjoon is the owner of Pour Advice, a bar that caters to the less than human population. He treats his regulars like family, and they protect him like family.

Prompt taken from Pinterest:
A local bartender regularly hosts monsters and demons in his bar. When terrorists kidnap his children, they learn the hard way how close he is to them.

Notes:

Prompt: A local bartender regularly hosts monsters and demons in his bar. When terrorists kidnap his children, they learn the hard way how close he is to them.

Almost all of the members are some form of mythical creature. This is just a palyful variety of those creatures. There is no mythical accuracy in this... except the shirikodama. That was too perfect to leave out.

Monday: 🔥
Kim Namjoon calmly wiped the whiskey glass clean as he glanced up at the clock above the T.V. He used to keep the clock over the dart board that hung near the restrooms, but when your clientele threw fire more often than darts, well, he'd gotten tired of replacing the clock.

Just as the clock struck three, the door to his little pub opened, the bell tied haphazardly to the handle jangling sadly. "Yoongi-ssi." Namjoon smiled quietly at the man who slumped in. "Right on time."

The man huffed, keeping his head down as he slumped up onto a barstool in front of Namjoon. "I told you, just call me hyung dammit."

"Of course, Yoongi hyung," he agreed easily, both knowing that tomorrow he would again greet the slim man respectfully. "Whiskey?"

"Always." Yoongi nodded. "Fireball and coke."

Namjoon hummed, setting the whiskey glass down and moving to grab the bottle behind him. "Anything new, hyung?"

Yoongi shrugged. "Not really. It's still all fire and brimstone and get me more souls!" He huffed.

"Dang." The bartender sympathized. "That sucks. Too bad you can't just quit."

"And do what?" Yoongi huffed. "Get a part-time job?"

Namjoon laughed softly. "Maybe. You know that werewolf who comes in here on Thursdays?"

The small fire demon looked up at Namjoon, his brow furrowed in confusion. "Jungkookie?"

"Yeah," Namjoon nodded. "He just got a full-time gig working at that horror theme park that just opened. He said they loved his make-up."

Yoongi huffed slightly. "Then they'd love mine." He chuckled, allowing his human facade to fade for a moment.

Namjoon smiled at the creature before him. Its charred flesh and melting eyes watched him as he set its drink in front of him. "Here ya go hyung. Fireball and coke."

Tuesday: 🧞
Namjoon stood quietly behind the bar, watching the muted television as the cliched telenovela played. He didn't look away as the door's bell jangled loudly in the empty pub. "You know that's gonna rot your brain." A calm voice said.

Namjoon didn't look away as the tall man strode up to the bar and plunked down on a barstool.
"Hello, Jin-ssi." He didn't know the djinn's full name. The creature wasn't so foolish to give it out, especially not in a tiny pub. Instead he simply went by Jin. He'd told Namjoon to call him Seokjin, but then decided the name was too long and shortened it.

"Good to see you too." Jin said wryly. "Can I get a drink or do we need to wait for Hernando to realize that Maria is his cousin?"

Namjoon's gaze jerked over to the broad man. "She's his cousin? Did I miss an episode?"

"No." Jin smirked. "They're going to find out next week."

Namjoon frowned at the tall being. "Spoilers much?" He groused as he moved closer to the monster.

"That's what happens when you ignore me, Joonie." The djinn shrugged, unrepentently. "Now, can I get a drink?"

Namjoon sighed and nodded. "The usual, or do you want something different?" Jin didn't have a usual drink. He always ordered something different. But he liked to pretend his usual was a gin and tonic because it amused him, and it didn't bother Namjoon, so he just went with it.

"What does that incubus always get?" He asked, frowning.

Namjoon smiled. "Depends. If he's with his friend they get a Sex on the Beach. If he's trying to flirt with the fire demon he's crushing on he orders a Flaming Orgasm."

The djinn smiled. "Well, since we don't have a fire demon to flirt with, let's go with Sex on the Beach."

Namjoon nodded at the handsome creature. "Got it. One gin and tonic coming right up."

“So, how are the twins?” Jin asked as he watched the barkeeper begin mixing the drink.

“They’re good.” Namjoon smiled as he glanced up at the other man. “Eunsoo has decided she wants a horse for their birthday and Soobin just wants to go to Alaska.”

“Alaska?” Jin squeaked. “Who the hell wants to go to Alaska?”

Namjoon smiled at him. “Me and Soobin,” he laughed. “But seriously, their requests just keep getting bigger. I don’t know when Eunsoo graduated from a pony to a full horse.”

Jin laughed. “They act like you could just make a wish.” He said softly, watching the young father sharply.

“As if.” Namjoon said, shaking his head. “You already have to deal with too many greedy assholes. I’m not going to force my assholes on you too.”

Jin shook his head as he accepted his drink. “You’re too good Joonie. I don’t know what we’d do without you.”

The barkeeper smiled. “You’d be stuck dealing with my asshole kids, hyung.”

“You’re kids aren’t assholes.” Jin smiled. “They just know how good you are.”

Wednesday: 💨
Namjoon was on the phone when the door’s bell jangled. He glanced up to see the door still closed, and smiled to himself. Quickly he said a hurried good bye and hung up. “What can I get for you?”

A misty haze blew through the pub and settled on a barstool near the man. “Can I get some wings?” The slender ghost said, slowly materializing into a bright, cheerful man.

“Of course, Hobi.” The bartender nodded. “Do you want fries or onion rings with it?”

“Can I have both?” The wendigo pleaded, giving his best puppy eyes.

“Of course.” Joon laughed, looking over at the hungry ghost. “Rough day?”

Hoseok slumped dramatically over the bar with a chilling groan. “Honestly, Joon, I’m starving. September is the worst! How am I supposed to hunt and eat dumb hikers in the woods if all the dumb hikers are too busy going to school?”

Namjoon chuckled, putting in an extra order of fries for the poor fiend. “Sounds rough.” He agreed as he handed the order through the kitchen window to the ogre on the other side. He smiled at the brutish face as the ogre, a rather cheerful monster named Minsu, glanced over his shoulder at the wendigo.

“I’ll add some extra wings,” he grunted before starting in on the order.

“That’s why I love this place, Joonie.” The ghost smiled brightly. “I mean, it’s hard enough finding a bar where people don’t run screaming. But finding a bar that gives me extra food during the slow seasons? I’d do unspeakable things for you Joonie.”

Thursday: 🐺
“Hyung!” Jungkook yelled as he burst through the door, the poor bell smashing against the glass. “Hyung, guess what!”

Namjoon smiled at the exuberant werewolf. “What?” He asked calmly.

“Okay, so you know how I told you Screams gives you a bonus if you recommend someone?”

“Yeah.” Namjoon nodded, trying to hide a smile.

“So, this is crazy, but you know that fire demon that comes on Sundays?”

“Yeah.” He nodded again, his left dimple appearing.

“So, the boss called me into her office this morning, and that guy applied for the job. And, this is crazy, but he put me down. He said he applied because I told him about it!”

“That’s awesome Kookie,” the bartender smiled. “So, what does that mean for you?”

Jungkook grinned ferally. “It means I get a huge bonus on my next check, and I get a raise if hyung stays after the Halloween season.”

“That’s really awesome.” The taller man smiled. “I guess that means today’s first drink is on me.”

“Thanks, hyung!” The werewolf beamed. “I really hope Yoongi-hyung stays. He’s really fun to work with. The humans who work there just don’t get any of my jokes.”

“Not everyone gets dark humor.” Namjoon told him gently. “Especially if they think the only real monsters come from prosthetics and make-up.”

“Yeah.” Jungkook sighed as Namjoon placed a glass of neat black label whiskey in front of the younger man. He glanced at the whiskey glass and at the bottle Namjoon was putting away. “Hyung, this is top shelf. Even with a bonus, I can’t afford top shelf.”

The barkeeper smiled. “I told you, first drink is on me.”

The werewolf smiled shyly, a soft blush dusting his cheeks. “Thanks hyung,” he said quietly. “You really didn’t have to.”

“Don’t worry about it.” The older one shrugged. “Besides, you did me a favor too. If Yoongi didn’t get a better job, he would’ve headed back to hell and I would have lost a customer.”

Jungkook was quiet for a bit as he sipped his whiskey, watching as the taller man wiped down the counter near him. Finally, he cleared his throat and looked at the bartender seriously. “I do have one thing I can’t figure out.” He said hesitantly.

“And what’s that Kook?”

“I don’t think I’ve ever said more than three words to Yoongi-hyung. When did I give him the idea to apply at Screams?”

Namjoon looked at him guilelessly. “He had to have heard about it from somewhere. And I’m pretty sure you’re the only person he knows who works there. So, maybe he overheard you talking about it last Sunday.”

“But the only person I talked to last Sunday was you.” Namjoon just shrugged. “... Thanks, hyung.” The werewolf smiled. “I really do owe you.”

Friday: 🧜‍♂️
Friday found the barkeep busily mixing cocktails and various other drinks as random patrons shouted orders across the din of the pub. "Johnny Walker Black on the rocks!" A deep voice called out, and Namjoon looked up to one of his favorite patrons.

"Tae!" he smiled happily. "You're a day early! And where's your other half?"

The siren smiled happily at him, his boxy grin filling his whole face. "Don't worry, I'll be back with Chim tomorrow. I'm just having a dry day and wanted to see my second favorite person to make the day better."

The barkeeper laughed. "I can't play favorites, but if I could, you'd be one of my favorites too Tae-Tae," he smiled. "I'll have your whiskey in just a second. Don't go anywhere!

The younger man nodded, watching as the older wove through the small army behind the bar to begin his drink. He was softly humming to himself when he felt someone come up beside him. "Red is a fun color." He glanced down at the petite woman looking up at him.

"Would you believe me if I told you it was natural?" Tae asked her crookedly.

The woman laughed flirtatiously. "Honey, hair doesn't come in fire engine red. Especially not for Asians."

The tall man's eyes bobbed up and down her figure, mentally filing her under 'Human: Not Worth It.' He shrugged and turned to look for Namjoon. "Come on," she crooned. "Tell me your secrets. How do you keep it so bright?"

"I wash it with a mixture of sea water and mud every night to lock in moisture and then once a week I do a hair mask made from alpaca dung to add in nutrients" He lied smoothly, watching her face go from interested to completely disgusted.

With a huff she rolled her eyes and flounced away, looking for more willing companionship. "You have to tell me your secret." Namjoon said, returning with his drink.

The siren smiled. "I tried telling her the truth." He shrugged sadly.

"I'm sure." Namjoon laughed. "Let me guess, one hundred percent human?"

The siren looked at him with disappointment. "Hyung. You should know that not all mortals are human. Look at Jungkook. Look at my sweet Chim Chim."

"You said it, not me." The elder smiled. "I am very well aware that half of the cryptid population is at least quasi-mortal, and a good number of them are completely mortal. But no cryptid would accuse someone of lying about their natural hair. It takes a certain overabundance of humanity to stereotype so easily."

"You're human." Taehyung rationalized.

"True." Namjoon smiled. "But I dated a boo hag by accident in college. Being turned into a horse every night for a couple of months kind of broke me of my disbelief."

"I didn't know that." Tae frowned. "Why did you break up?"

The older shrugged. "She had to go back to the States. To be fair, I wasn't that broken hearted to see her go. She was beautiful and sweet, but running all night while she beat me was hell on my grades."

"Fair enough." Tae shrugged. "But you are right. The chick was human, and she has no idea who she's flirting with now."

Namjoon looked up to see one of his regulars, a rather timid vampire by the name of Clarence, grinning happily at the tiny woman. "As long as she doesn't hurt him, who am I to judge?" The human said, smiling crookedly at the siren. "Let me know if you need anything else."

"More details about you and the boo hag." Taehyung ordered cheekily.

"When you pay off your tab." The human agreed, knowing that Tae never paid. He left that to his dear sweet Chim. "And her name was Jenny."

Saturday: 💋
The next day saw the little pub even busier, with monsters and humans alike bustling around and yelling over each other. Namjoon knew he wouldn't really have any time to chat with any of the customers as he almost threw drinks across his bartop. Still, he was happy to see Tae and his self-proclaimed soulmate cuddling happily in one of the couches that they preferred when they came together. He smiled as the older of the two suddenly perked up, his eyes focusing on a voluptuous brunette who was nursing a tall orange drink. The small incubus caught his eye and nodded meaningfully to the woman. The bartender shrugged for a second then jerked his head away towards his office. Then he waved at one of his servers and pointed to the woman. "Her next drink is on the house. Whatever she asks for, but don't let her leave." The server nodded as the barkeeper shuffled through the crowd after Jimin.

As the door to his office closed behind him, the loud ruckus of the bar was dampened and he looked at the shorter man who gave him a sassy side eye. "Well?" The incubus asked. "Is she a safe meal, or do I need to pass?"

The tall human sighed. "Normally I'd tell you pass, but she caught her boyfriend cheating this week and she told me on Wednesday to add her to the volunteers list."

"Boyfriend?" Jimin asked with narrow eyes.

Joon nodded. "A sphinx that comes in on Mondays and Thursdays. Turns out those are the days she works late, so he came here for a drink and then he was heading out for a nightcap. Except his nightcap was an elf he met a few months ago."

Jimmin's snort of disdain was barely audible, but his disgust was written plainly on his face. "So is she trying to get revenge in a justifiable way, or is she serious."

Namjoon shook his head. "Honestly, I think she's trying to prove to herself that she’s still pretty. She's on her third Suffering Bastard, and I know she only picked it for the name. She hates bourbon."

The lithe incubus was quiet for a few minutes, considering the human's observations. "Let her know that Tae and I want to take care of her tonight. I mean, yeah, she'll be feeding me. But we want to care for her."

The barkeeper gave the incubus a shrewd look. "Just for tonight?"

Jimin nodded. "For now. We'll talk, and if it's a fit, then we can work something out. As much as I love Tae, an incubus curse doesn't allow you to feed on the Folk."

Namjoon nodded. "I'll let her know there's an interested party." He agreed. "You head back to your siren so you can give him a heads up that he needs to be gentle tonight."

Jimin nodded and was soon out of the door. The barkeeper took a moment to collect his thoughts before heading out to the woman.

It only took a few minutes before he was shuffling over to her. In their booth, Jimin was talking softly to Tae, his lips close to the siren's ear. "Seoyun?" He called her softly. She glanced up at him startled. "Can I talk to you for a minute?"

She blinked at him, large brown eyes wide with confusion. "I promise I'm not drunk." She said quickly.

Namjoon smiled at her. "I know, but someone has offered you a drink, and I need to discuss it with you."
Seoyun blinked rapidly, her gaze darting around the room. Luckily Tae and Jimin were still talking furiously instead of eyeing the woman hungrily. He smiled reassuringly. His regular customers all knew what it meant when Namjoon told them someone was buying their drink. If anyone else told them, it just meant a quick pick-up. But coming from Namjoon, it was much more serious.

She nodded and slipped off the stool, following as Namjoon led her back to the office he had just left. He smiled as he gestured for her to take a seat on the plush couch. "Someone wants me?" She asked nervously.

"You do know what that means?" he confirmed.

She nodded. "Omar never needed to feed, but he had a few vampire friends."

The barkeeper took a deep breath and nodded slowly. "It isn't a vampire who wants to buy your drink." He said gently.

"It's not a redcap is it?' She asked nervously. "I know there's a few of them that come here."

"No," he said, "it's an incubus and his mate. The mate is a siren, so do you know what that means?"

The brunette looked slightly stunned. "But they don't drink blood." She stammered in confusion.

"No." Namjoon confirmed. "They require sex. It's true that the incubus needs it a lot more frequently than his mate, but I promise they are both very gentle."

"How do you know?" She blinked rapidly.

This time the barkeeper blushed right up to his ears. "Because they took care of me right after my divorce." He answered honestly. "I was in a bad spot and they got me back. They're the ones who actually inspired the system we use here at the bar. They wanted safe, sane, willing, partners to take care of instead of risking their lives every week hoping to get lucky in some random club downtown." He paused to watch understanding dawn on her face before he took a deep breath. "So, Seoyun, I promise they will not hurt you or coerce you into anything you don't want. They will only use their talents after you give full consent, and I know from experience that they will stop at no. Are you willing to accept their drink?"

"Is it just for tonight?" She asked softly, her voice barely more than a whisper.

"That is up to them and you, and it will stay between the three of you. I only serve the drinks."

She nodded slowly, but with confidence. "Okay," she said softly. "They can buy me a shot of tequila and a margarita."

Namjoon smiled gently at her. "Jose Cuervo to the rescue. " He cheered. "I'll escort you to their table and bring your drinks."

"Table?" She startled. "On a Saturday?"

The barkeeper shrugged, blushing again. "I may or may not keep a table reserved for them on Saturdays. Jimin and Taehyung are important, and I don't want them going back to seedy clubs and hoping they don't get caught."

Sunday -🍻
It was 11:00 AM when the office phone rang. Namjoon had just walked into the pub and had to run to answer it. "Good afternoon," he greeted distractedly, thinking over everything he needed to do to get ready for the upcoming shift. "Tonight is our Super Scary Sunday Free For All. We'd love to meet you. This is Namjoon, how can I help you?"

"It's me."

"Ahri." He sighed. His ex-wife rarely called, and it was never a good thing when she did. "What do you need?"

"The twins are gone." She said coldly. "I got some bullshit ransom note and the kids are gone. Tell me what the fuck you did."

The bartender took a second to absorb her words, his steady pulse beginning to pick up pace. "Wait. What do you mean the twins are gone? What ransom note? Where are they?"

He heard her sigh. "Are you seriously pretending that you didn't do this to make trouble for me?" She growled.

"I may not like you, but I wouldn't do something to my kids because their mother is a bitch." He growled right back. "Now what is going on with my children?"

The werewolf on the other end was quiet for a moment. "You had nothing to do with this?" She demanded again.

"No, Ahri. Now tell me what happened to my kids.' He took a moment to calm himself as she hesitated on the other end.

"I'll call my pack." She said quickly, starting to hang up.

"Not before you tell me what is happening to my goddamned kids!" He snarled, startling the she-wolf.

"I... I don't know," she answered softly. "I thought you did this."

"You thought-" He bit off the comment, "Just. Read me the note. What does it say?"

She was quiet for several moments before he heard a soft sob. "It's mostly bullshit about Others mixing with Humans, and going on about taking care of the mistake. Oh, Moonshine! They won't hurt the kids, will they?"

"I don't know." Namjonn said tensely. "I'm closing the pub for tonight, and then I'll call the police. You call your pack and see if they can help. Then, I'll meet you at the police station by you. As soon as you get off the phone with your pack, go and report the kids missing."

"Okay." She said quietly. "You didn't have anything to do with this?"

"No." Namjoon insisted. "Call the pack. Go to the police."

"Okay." She said, then the call went dead.

The barkeeper took a deep breath and looked down at his cellphone as he hung up the bar's landline. He frowned. Why didn't she call him on his cellphone? He knew she had the number. He frowned, shaking his head as he pulled up his notes app. Quickly, he typed up a formal apology in Korean and English before taking a screenshot to post on the pub's SNS.

He was texting his staff when his phone rang. "Jin." he greeted tersely. "I'm sorry, hyung, but now really isn't a good time."

"What happened?" The djinn demanded. "I saw your Insta. You don't close Pour Advice for anything. Especially not on Sunday."

Namjoon sighed, looking up for patience. "Hyung. I really can't talk. I need to get to the police station."

The djinn was quiet for barely a second. "Namjoon. What happened? Are you in trouble?"

"I don't... I..."

"Joon, breathe." He paused to listen to the human take a deep steadying breath. "Now. Tell hyung what happened."

"My ex just called. She said the kids are missing. She said something about a ransom note. It said something about fixing her mistake."

The call was quiet for a moment. Then, "You know what you can do." Jin said softly. "I didn't give you a bullshit name. You know I can help you. Help me help you."

"No." Namjoon immediately protested. "I'm not going to use you like that. Don't even ask."

"But-"

"No, hyung. Don't try to make me use you." Namjoon's eyes squeezed tightly shut as he clenched his phone. "Thank you for offering hyung, but I'm going to the police."

A few moments later he was locking the doors to the pub when his phone rang again. "Hello?"

"Hyung!" He blinked at the frantic voice of the inccubus on the other end. "Are you okay? Tae saw the post. What's going on? You never close!"

"Don't worry." Joon sighed. "I'm on my way to the police now to deal with the problem now. As soon as I can, I'll open the pub again. But please, I'm a little busy right now."

"The police!" Jimin squeaked. "Are you okay? Did you get attacked? Did someone attack you? Do you need us to come help?"

"It's fine, Jimin." Namjoon insisted. "I've got it under control. But I really can't talk right now."

"But-" He hung up before Jimin could keep going. It would make the incubus angry, but he would deal with that when he knew his twins were safe.

He hadn't even made it to the subway station when his phone rang again. He cursed silently as he answered, knowing he couldn't ignore the fire demon who was calling him. "Hyung."

"Jungkookie and I already spoke to our boss. We're on our way to the pub now. What happened?"

"No. Hyung, please. I'm not at the pub anymore, so don't bother. I'm heading to the police station to get everything figured out now."

"The police." Namjoon cursed himself as he heard the anger in the fire demon's voice. "Kim Namjoon, tell me what the hell is going on. Now."

"I don't know all the details yet." He sighed. "My ex called and said the twins are missing. She said someone left a ransom note going on about Others and Humans and fixing mistakes. She's calling her pack and we're meeting at the police station."

Yoongi was quiet for a minute. "Okay. That sounds like The Purists."

Namjoon blanched at the mention of the human supremacist group. "You... You don't really think it was them, do you?"

"Sounds like them." Yoongi said blunty. "Here is what we're going to do. I will gather some friends at the pub. You are going to call that djinn you know and ask him to find the twins. Then, you are going to call your wife and tell her to have her pack meet us at the pub. You will not go to the police."

"But-"

"No buts, Namjoon. Hyung is dealing with this, and I don't want to have to explain bodies to the police. Do you understand me? Attacking you is attacking us. You provide for Others, and The Purists will know that. Do not call the police."

"Y-Yes hyung." Namjoon agreed, nodding shakily even though he knew the fire demon couldn't see it.

"Good. I'm going to hang up. Then you are going to call the djinn and then you are going to call your ex. I'll see you as quickly as I can." Then the line went dead.

Standing in the street, staring at his phone, Namjoon was startled to see the teardrop land on the screen.
Swallowing back more tears he quickly pulled up the djinn's contact and pressed dial.

"Namjoon." Jin answered on the first ring. "Did you get any more information about the twins?"

"No." The bartender said softly. "Not yet. Yoongi called." The djinn waited silently as Namjoon gathered himself. "I'm sorry, hyung. Please don't hate me for this."

"I could never hate you Joonie." The djinn said kindly. "Ask. Let me help you."

"Kim Seokjin, find my children."

"My pleasure." Jin said darkly. "Yoongi is heading to the pub?"

"Yes."

"Good. I'll grab Tae and Jimin and meet you there. Call your wife and tell her to bring her pack. Wolves love a good hunt.”

***

Namjoon stared at the small crowd of grim faced others who were gathered in his pub, waiting for even more to arrive. Word had spread very quickly through the supernatural community. Banshees, wraiths of every kind, elves. He even saw a few reclusive griffins who he knew had never set foot in his pub. Ahri was deep in conversation with her pack. The din of the pub was almost as loud as a typical Sunday. But there was no alcohol. Minsu was towering over a frighteningly large pile of magical weapons, meticulously organizing who was borrowing which item, and for once he was offering his arsenal free of charge.
Suddenly the door burst open to reveal Seokjin. He was flanked by Taehyung and Jimin, all three of them sporting smiles that promised bloody havoc. "We found them," he snarled triumphantly. "The bastards were dumb enough to hide at the Incheon docks. They hid from the wolves, but I bet they never thought to hide from anything else."

Taehyung smirked. "We have three mers and a kappa watching them. So far the kids are scared, but they aren't hurt."

The wolves snarled at this information, but an answering gust from Hoseok had them quieting as his burning chill swept through the room. "Do you have a plan?" He asked, looking to the fire demon who had taken charge of everything.

Yoongi smiled cruelly.

***

It started with a tiny ripple, like a stone skipping under the surface of the water. No one even noticed it. Nor did they notice the scaley head that peaked out of the water, watching the men pace back and forth. They were too busy watching the road that led to the warehouse. They knew the wolfpack wouldn't attack from the water. Everyone knew werewolves were too dense to swim well.
The kappa dipped back under the surface to the waiting siren. "Four guards," he burbled wetly. "They have guns, but they're facing away from the water."

"To the road." He nodded. "And if they have guns, I'm betting on silver bullets."

"Good bet." The kappa agreed.

Taehyung smiled darkly. "I hope you're hungry."

The kappa's grin was just as cruel. "Starving."

Softly, the siren began his enchantment, his deep voice echoing up from the water to call the guards. His eyes burned crimson as the kappa stared ravenously as the first man approached the edge of the dock, staring down vacantly at the water. The man didn't even have time to scream as the scaley green hands shot from the water, dragging him down to the hungry creature below. Tae allowed the others to break from their trance as the man's head broke the surface. He smiled. He wanted these men scared. The kappa's victim began to screech as the being tore his clothing and began to devour his shirikodama, needle sharp teeth boring painfully into very tender flesh.

Humans began to boil out of a nearby warehouse, drawn by the dying man's shrieks.
As they neared the concrete pier, a killing cold folded in silently behind them as the hungry ghost chuckled. The normally cheerful wendigo smiled as his first victim began to scream at the burning frost. Hoseok picked him up and dragged him skyward as small ashes of human flesh fell behind them. The man didn't last long, and soon the wendigo returned for another to find Yoongi happily burning the flesh from anyone he touched. Behind the screaming mass, the water boiled angrily with the writhing bodies of feasting seafolk.

A great roar reached Hoseok as Minsu, Jungkook, and the wolfpack thundered towards the warehouse, all manner of Others hard on their heels. Snarls and howls filled the air and tore into the warehouse.
Hidden amongst the horde of angry Others, Jin and Jimin slipped in quietly, focusing on the tiny glow of confused fear. Quickly they found the twins, the brother and sister crying as softly as they could. The djinn frowned angrily at the deep purple bruises on the children's faces, and forced down his anger at the humans who had dared to hurt innocent five year olds. "Shh," he said softly, crouching down to untie them. "I'm here to help."

"Who are you?" The boy asked as he tried to shuffle closer to his sister.

"I'm Jimin." The incubus said gently. "This is my friend, Jin. Your dad sent us to come and get you."

"That's what they said," the little girl cried. "They said Mommy was hurt and Daddy sent them to get us."

Jin shook his head. "No, sweetheart. Your daddy is fine. He's waiting at work for you. And your mommy is outside right now. She's dealing with the men who lied to you."

The boy blinked up at Jin. "Are they gonna get a spanking? Mommy says you get a spanking when you lie."

"They will get a very big spanking." Jimin assured them. "Did you know my friend can do magic?" The two children shook their heads, frightened eyes wide and confused. "He totally can. He can make things disappear! Watch. Show him your hands and he'll make the ropes disappear."

Nervously the twins lifted their hands, and Jin bit back a curse. Silver handcuffs wrapped around each wrist, and a third set tied the twins together. He took a deep breath and tapped the cuffs, banishing them instantly. "Are you ready to go home?" Jin smiled carefully.

"I want Daddy." The little girl cried.

Jimin held out his arms to give her a hug,and she threw herself at him. "Okay." He said, holding her tightly. "I'm going to take you to Daddy. Can I help you take a nap, first? Mommy is really mad out there with the men who lied, so I don't want to make her even madder because you missed your naptime."

The twins glanced at each other with wide eyes. "I'm not tired, though." The boy said. "My scared is too big."

The incubus smiled kindly. "That's why I'm going to help you. May I?'

The girl nodded against his chest as the boy softly agreed. Then the incubus gave each twin a soft kiss on their foreheads, letting his magic cloud their minds, sending both children to sleep. He and Jin each gathered a sleeping child in their arms before moving back out to where the wolfpack was grimly tearing their way through the human supremacist cult.

Namjoon stood in his pub, watching the news coverage of the massacre happening at the docks. The human reporters and authorities couldn't get very close, and confusingly all of the Others that should have been able to were seemingly unreachable. Other police weren't answering radio calls. The human newscaster was doing her best to keep up with the action, but the freezing chill of a wendigo and the burning fires of a demon were no match for a news station's camera drones. Finally two well dressed men emerged from the chaos, each carrying a sleeping wolf cub. Namjoon felt his whole being drop as he saw his children safely emerge from the massacre. He couldn't tell what the human woman was reporting, but recognizing the lithe forms of his patrons, he finally allowed himself to break. The two men vanished from the cameras as they tried to zoom in on them. Moments later, Namjoon's phone rang.

"Jin!" He gasped, clutching the phone like a lifeline. "You have them?"

"Yes, we have them. Jimin put a light sleep spell on them, but we're bringing them to the pub, and they'll wake up in about an hour."

"Oh thank god." The bartender said, collapsing onto a barstool.

"Thank Tae too." Jin quipped. "And Joon? For like, the next month or so, you might want to specify who Minsu is cooking for. I heard him say something about secrets in the sauce."
