    While in hot pursuit of the time-traveling dimension-hopper known as Cable, FBI Special Agents Fox Mulder, Dana Scully, Monica Reyes and John Doggett tumble unceremoniously through a magical portal, transporting them from the Year 1999 on Earth-1013 to the Year 2026 on Earth-0616 in the blink of an eye. There, they meet "Generation X," a sassy gang of superpowered tweens, led by a little Firecracker named Jubilation Lee. Can the two groups hailing from literally different worlds learn to Trust one another and work together to somehow take down the Biggest, Baddest Mutant Boss of All Times and All Universes, the mysterious and almost invulnerable mutant supervillain known as Apocalypse?
    This story is based on a fanfiction I wrote with my best friend when I was thirteen years old in which the X-Files' Spooky Squad meets The X-Men! This is a kind of "mid-quel" between my two fics "A Rose By Any Other Name" and "The Age of Aquarius," but you can read it just as well on its own! I hope ya'll enjoy it and Happy 2026!
