Chapter Text
Yukichi Fukuzawa is a patient man, he prides himself on it even. But when he was made aware he was expected to house and have a bunch of “heroes” as they call themselves watch the Armed Detective Agency work he wasn’t exactly thrilled by it.
Fukuzawa knew of the heroes who were outside of Yokohama, he knew that they were a bit too insistent on what was right or wrong ignoring the deeper picture. Heroes have never exactly been inside Yokohama, sure they have tried to find cracks in the barrier and make it inside the city but none have succeeded. If any have succeeded then they were erased without a trace.
Fukuzawa just sighed and asked Haruno to inform Kunikida about the new plans and to inform the others. Haruno just smiles and bows her head politely before leaving the room. Fukuzawa sighs looking down at those papers. “What exactly is Mori planning?” he wonders to himself knowing that the man most likely had a say in this decision.
Meanwhile at a certain government issued building currently there are 4 unhappy hunting dogs. “What the hell!” Jouno Saigiku protests as he’s told about UA students coming to visit them for a day and how all of them will have to train them for a session. Teruko Okura just sighs, clearly also not amused. “Wasn’t my choice Jouno-San, this was issued to us directly from the government” she scoffs smiling forcibly. “They think it will be “good” for the students to gain a “broader perspective” whatever that means” Teruko pouts.
Tecchou looks up from where he’s eating a boiled egg with the shell still on. “What are we supposed to even teach them? If they are at a hero school aren’t they supposed to be well versed with weaponry and opponents already.” Jouno looks like he’s about to pop a blood vessel. “Remember they have mutations? They rely too much on those alone. Instead of using it as a tool like how we use our abilities they use theirs to carry the fight entirely” Tecchou just hums bored then goes back to eating. Tachihara on the other hand just sighs already expecting the chaos of having 20 or so students in here who can’t even use a gun properly most likely.
Before Tachihara can ask for more information on these new students Jouno and Tecchou are already fighting once again while Teruko watches in amusement giggling and egging them on from the sidelines. Tachihara just groans to himself before attempting to fill out some paperwork, the boss is still in Meursault for betraying the Hunting Dogs and leading a terrorist organization, but from what Tachiharas heard a certain demon and jester got out of their sentence somehow and the rook is focusing on his Casino and has been in contact with the Armed Detective Agency.
Of course though Tachihara is pulled out of his thoughts by a desk being thrown across the room, it seems like Jouno and Tecchou are sparring now because of their argument. Tachihara smiles fondly at the pair as he watches them fight, despite what it might look like from the outside Tachihara can tell it's just a friendly fight. Tecchou avoided Jouno's weak spots and Jouno not hitting as hard as he could. Someone who didn’t know the two hunting dogs personally would say they hated each other, but that couldn’t be more wrong. There’s a deep trust and mutual understanding underneath all that banter.
Tachiharas is so zoned out he doesn’t notice Terukos laugh as she tries to warn him as a book hits him straight in the face. Tachihara takes back everything he just thought about those two. Tachihara just stands up grinning before joining in on the banter that's going on about whose fault it is that Tachihara got hit in the face. Jouno blames Teruko since she’s the one who threw the book in the first place, Teruko claims she was trying to hit Tecchou who dodged so it's his fault.
At UA academy in Musutafu, on the other hand, the reactions were more chaotic than the hunting dogs and Armed Detective Agency combined. Parents protested against it refusing to pay for this “field trip” and teachers being just as wary. Principal Nezu himself had no part in this. It was purely a government's form of “peace” sending aspiring young heroes to Yokohama to show them the “horror” of the Port Mafia's city.
Yokohama has long since been a subject of debate in the Japanese government. Heroes have tried and failed to get it back under control yet everytime the Port Mafia killed those heroes or they just never came back… The Yokohama government allowed this monitored field trip after several bribes and NDA disclosures and informational gain. The itinerary given to Shota Aizawa showed a day of military training, three days with the Armed Detective Agency, three days of sightseeing and tours given by “Doppo Kunikida” then there's a final day that just says general training..
Aizawa sighs, flipping through the detailed binder filled with everything they needed, packing lists, field trip forms, brochures before finally shutting it. Tiredly rubbing his eyes
“How do I even bring this up to the students without having them lose their shit” he mutters to himself before taking a sip of his earl tea right when the bell rings. Students shuffle in all loudly talking, Bakugo and his friends about the latest villain attacks and how he can pummel them, while the other noticeably loud group is Izuku and Todoroki discussing All Might's new merch, although that's mostly Izuku.
Aizawa clears his breath as the students finally quiet down all 40 eyes on him. “So as you all have heard we are going on a class field trip next week.” Kirishimia and Denki high five laughing, Uraraka and Momo already quietly talking with smiles. “It’s to Yokohama.” Suddenly everything goes quiet before everyone starts talking, yelling, and cursing at once.
“Isnt that place overrun by fuckin’ villains!” Bakugou yells and Denki nods in agreement, seeming a bit more worried while Izuku looks on the verge of a panic attack, pale skin and sweating vigorously. “Calm down…its a program meant for us heroes to see such places, to understand the struggle of living in a place like Yokohama which yes does have a deep and extensive underground of crime.” Aizawa pauses looking around at his students as he slowly moves forward to begin passing the itineraries and permission slips out. “While there I expect you children to stay out of trouble and listen to our guides. We will be under military and the armed detective agencies protection while there so we should be safe. This will hopefully show you what being a hero is truly like against villains like those in Yokohama.” he pauses, flipping to another page. “You will be expected to write an analysis after the field trip about what you learned and how this knowledge can help you as a hero.” Aizawa sighs seeing Izuku with his hand raised up high, palms shaking and clearly straining. “Yes Midoriya?” He rubs his temple. “So while there, what will we do if we run into the criminals that run Yokohama!! Why would the school even send us to somewhere like Yokohama! Is it true they don't have quirks there?” Izuku sputters all this out flipping through his notebook, worryingly ripping a page in the process but not seeming to notice.
Aizawa pauses for a moment before nodding. “If we run into the Port Mafia which runs the underground criminal organizations, then we will leave it up to the Armed Detective Agency or military since they have more experience with the mafia. The school is sending you children there to hopefully build morale to get Yokohama back to a peaceful city, and no they do not have quirks in Yokohama. At least to our knowledge they are 100% quirkless.”
Bakugou just scoffs, calling out with cockiness. “Oh please! Those mafia bastards would be no match for us if we used our quirks. Who needs the military? They are just a bunch of quirkless villains!” He smirks, leaning back in his chair. “We’ll show those assholes.” Kirishima claps him on the back smiling.
“If only it was that simple” Aizawa mutters as he turns to face the board thinking about heroes he's known in the past going missing after going into that city despite being powerful quirk users. “I expect those signed by tomorrow, the bus to Yokohama leaves next Monday at 6:30AM, do not be late or we are leaving you and you get extra work.” he deadpans as he begins writing out the lesson for the day.
