"Dude, you're actually—" Albert groaned out of anger as he got jumpscared, his hands running down his face. "You're actually an asshole, stop!" he whined as he respawned next to him. He knew he was being bitchy, but he didn't care; Jake wouldn't stop trolling his ass off.
Jake put on his faux pouty tone, "You're being rude!" This pissed off Albert even more. He knows it's for the video, but he wasn't joking. To add fuel to the fire, Jake's character was moving back and forth, face to face, like a kiss. Albert huffed, he'll make whatever editor cut his tantrum out.
He doesn't understand why he got so worked up over this if Jake had been doing the same thing for 30 minutes. To further unjustify his anger, he himself had been griefing too. So why, when Jake does it, does his anger flare up?
Albert pounded his fists down on the table, loud enough for Jake to hear through the mic. "Shut up. Jake, it's not fucking funny, stop. You're being a bitch, and you're not doing jackshit to help us!" he muttered between his teeth. Thank god it was just them in proximity despite how small the map was.
Once again, Jake thought this was a bit, responding with a quick quip. "Aww, is Albert mad?" he cooed. "Did I make Albert maaad?"
"No, I'm done. I'm fucking done." Albert ripped his earbuds out of his ears, pushing his chair back to stare at the screen from a distance. He could've just moved his character in-game instead of moving in real life, but he couldn't bring himself to. His eyes glazed over the screen before he shut them tight to calm down.
Jake blinked in confusion for a bit as he heard Albert's words. They seemed to come truly out of frustration, proving he wasn't joking.
"Hey, I was joking," he tests tentatively, but no response. Jake tries again, "I'm sorry, dude. I promise I'll try this time." Once again, no response.
Embarrassment pricks at his face, eyes flicking up instinctively to where his camera was. It wasn't even a face-cam video, so why did he even look up?
Jake gulps, almost cartoon-like, as he moves his Roblox window to go into his Discord one. His keyboard clicks softly when he types out the message to Albert in their direct messages.
Albert hears the ping from his phone, causing him to open his eyes. He can only assume it's Jake. Through his nose, he takes a deep breath before scooting himself back to his computer.
It's just a simple checkup message from Jake, asking if he's okay and that he's sorry. Albert's eyebrows furrow at the message. Jake had meant no harm, so it wasn't right for him to lash out.
Putting in his earbuds again, he hears the weird sounds of the game and the distant screams from the others. However, he pays no attention to them as he's focused on the striped shirt in front of him.
"—but, I'm sorry and, I swear I didn't actually try to make you mad or anything; and I don't know if you can hear this or not..." Jake is rambling on an apology as if he had committed a war crime against Albert. Albert laughs, making Jake stop in his rambling. "Albert?" Jake asks.
Albert starts with a small laugh, "lt's okay. I forgive you." There's an obvious smile in his voice that he knows Jake picks up on. Jake's good at those things.
"You proomise?" Jake perks back up again.
"Dude, I'll—"
"Okay, okay! I'm sorry!" Jake holds his hands up defensively as if Albert could see him. "Seriously, I'm sorry," he says with sincerity.
Albert smiles fondly at his tone as if Jake had him whipped. "No, it's okay."
There's a moment of silence before Jake speaks up again.
"I love you," he coos in a love-sickening tone.
Albert scoffed, "I am not saying that." He could feel his face flush up, avoiding looking at the camera filming him.
"No Jalbert?" Albert hated how he could hear Jake's faux frown from miles away. Jake's in-game character moved in closer
One more moment of silence followed before Albert spoke.
"I love you too," he said, exasperated.
A wet kissy noise derives from Jake's mic as he makes their character meet face to face. Albert couldn't help but play into it, too.
They definitely needed to cut this out of the video.
