Chapter Text
Heyy guys, welcome to my first fanfiction! I just want to make things clear that I am not a professional writer and I just write for fun whenever I feel like it. So don't put your expectations too high. English isn't my first language and I am also sleep deprived so there's a change you might come across some typos, which I'd like to apologize for before you begin reading.
Also, by the amount of chapters, this might seem like alot. But don't worry, the chapters are short. And lastly, here are some trigger warnings. If you feel uncomfortable by any of these in the following, I'd reccomend clicking off immediately:
TRIGGER WARNINGS:
Death, one-sided relationship, teen death, cursing, god complex, narcissism, Light Yagami, beheading, vomiting, hanging, sacrifices, suicide?, guns, and maybe some other stuff
Anyway, I hope you like it!
Proposal
L sat by his desk, hunched over with his thumb against his lower lip. They were in the task force builing. The room they were in was dark and quiet because it was already late, the only source of light coming from that huge screen L was observing with his big dark eyes without even blinking once. The task force members were all in their offices. Except Matsuda, he was bringing coffee, I guess.
"Light." L broke the silence.
"Hm? What is it, Ryuzaki?" Light asked, slightly tilting his head in curiosity.
Their wrists were still chained together, the metal uncomfortably pressing onto their skin. Light hated being chained to L. They always wanted to go the complete opposite ways! Worst part, L is stubborn. So they always ended up going wherever he wanted...
"Would you like to play Flicker?" L proposed, his head still facing the computer screen, but his eyes looking straight at Light's. "Flicker? What is this... Flicker?" Light was a bit stunned at L's sudden question. He surely didn't expect this. Those eyes... You could almost drown in them. Like a black hole. Getting sucked into that void and never get out. His emotionless gaze had always been a bit unsettling... But Light was good at hiding his discomfort because he's so talented, of course. So there's nothing to worry about.
L began explaining the game. "Flicker is a roblox murder mystery game about a good and an evil team. The good team includes roles such as a detective and a survivor, while the evil team has roles like the murderer and the assassin. The good team's goal is to eliminate the evil team, while the evil team's goal is the opposite." He grabbed a sugarcube, put it in his tea and stirred with a spoon, holding the spoon like it was the nastiest thing ever. "Every night, one person gets killed by the evil team. And at daytime, the good team has to vote out who's suspicious." He continued. "The team of the ones who remain, wins."
'Why is L asking me to play a kids game...?' Light thought to himself. 'He asked me to play Minecraft with him before. This is probably another one of his tricks to prove that I am Kira!' Light rested his fingers on his chin, deep in thought. 'I must prove him wrong...'
L put his thumb on his lips. "Light-kun, are you okay?" he asked, turning his desk chair to face Light. It was at that point that Light realized he had just been silently tweaking for these past 10 seconds. "Yeah, I'm fine. I was just zoning out a bit, that's all." 'Hah! I'm such an excellent liar!' Light egoistically thought to himself. "Hmm... Sure." L responded, definitely not believing Light a single bit.
