Chapter Text
“skeppppyyy hurrrrrryyyyyy” bad says impatiently “dude, im almost ready” Skeppy says loudly projecting his voice over the loud hair dryer next to his ear. “Hannah already started the car skeppy they’re waiting for us!! ” bad leans on the bathroom door, “Are you still doing your hair?” Bad asks, as he puts his ear against the door to hear a comb clinking against the countertop. “Maybeee” Skeppy opens his hairspray. “Skeppy!! You have been doing your hair for like 15 minutes!!” Skeppy coats his head in hairspray and scoops his products into the drawer. “ok! ok, I’m done” “finally” Bad shifts his weight away from the door as it opens, “nice bracelet!” bad says jokingly as he reveals his matching blue skeppy bracelet. Bad steps back and trips on Skeppy’s bag behind him. Skeppy laughs, a little too loudly, and grabs his bag from the floor. They rush out together, sneakers squeaking slightly on the tile as they practically sprint to the car, while Hannah is honking outside of their hotel window.
“Are you excited?” Skeppy says excitedly, Bad rolls his eyes, “We should get shots!!” “Skeppy, don’t drink too much we have a stream later.” Skeppy counters, “They won’t know” The car speeds up and Hannah interrupts. “Are you guys gonna stay at dream’s house or the hotel tonight?” They looked at each other uncertainly . “Uhm I think we are gonna head to dreams house tommorow, I booked 4 nights at the hotel so,” Skeppy replied, Bad interrupted. “Wait, I only booked 3 nights at the hotel I thought we were gonna stay at Dream’s house tonight?” Skeppy thought for a second and then said, “Well we are streaming together later anyways, you can stay in my room” Bad chuckled nervously. “Are you sure Skeppy?” Skeppy responded quickly “Ya, I have an extra bed in my room.” George and Hannah looked at them mockingly.
Skeppy got off the car excitedly. “Hannah, have you been here before?” Bad asks timidly while admiring the huge building in front of them. “Yep , a couple of times with Sapnap” she responds casually. “Dude, this place looks so cool” Skeppy smiles at Bad, also admiring the blue lit building in front of them. “Maybe it won’t be too bad” Bad says feeling reassured by Skeppy’s excitement. They enter the line outside the venue and start to chat. Skeppy manages to comment on everything around them, and Bad listened, giggling, used to Skeppy’s antics. “Hannah how long will we be here for?” Bad said impatiently. “Maybe around 3 hours? However long you guys feel comfortable, it doesn’t matter to me” Skeppy interrupts, “Let’s stay till closing!!” Bad looks at Skeppy signaling he was forgetting something. “Skeppy!! We were supposed to stream at 12!!” “Look Bad, I don’t know how long we are gonna be here and we may as well have some fun right? Just have like one margarita with me it’ll be fine!!” Skeppy attempts to sway Bad after his lecture about the deficits of alcohol earlier. “Ok maybe one margarita won’t hurt, but that’s it ok?” They move up in line. “Quick, get your ID’s out.” Bad says responsibly, everyone obliges. Skeppy leans his head on Bad, “This line is taking forever” he comments “We’re next” George responds, “Finallyy” Skeppy mocks Bad, standing back upright.
Inside the venue, the group split up. “It’s so loud in here!!” Bad practically yells, “WHAT?” Skeppy asks “NOTHING” Bad gives up. “HERE, HOLD MY HAND” Skeppy reaches for Bad’s hand. Bad’s heart fluttered as he followed Skeppy through the crowd. They traversed through the crowd, hand in hand towards the bar and sat down next to each other near the end of the bar. “WHAT KIND OF MARGARITA DO YOU WANT?” Skeppy said to Bad, “Strawberry is fine!!” Bad replyed “WHAT? DID YOU SAY STRAWBERRY?” Bad nodded. Skeppy leaned over the bar. “Can I get 2 margaritas 1 lime and 1 strawberry?” Skeppy said as the music got quieter. “Coming right up” said the bartender. Skeppy leaned back towards Bad. Bad sat awkwardly, half smiling at skeppy. “So, is it your first time at a club?” Skeppy asked filling in the silence. “First time with you.” Bad responded “Oooh, have you been hiding your history of clubbing as long we have been friends?” Skeppy mocked him. Bad giggled. “Please, the last time I went clubbing was right after I turned 21.” “So, right before we met?” Skeppy questioned “That sounds about right.” The bartender interrupted. “Here’s the two margaritas.” The bartender said as he passed skeppy the two drinks and receipt. “Thanks.” Skeppy said as he passed Bad his drink and signed the receipt. “Add these to my tab please” The waiter replied; “Of course.” Skeppy turned back to Bad and clinked his glasses against Bad’s. The music got louder. “Oh my goodness this is really good” “See, it was worth it to come right?” Skeppy teased “You muffinhead” Bad said saltily. “Come on let’s go dance” Skeppy grabbed Bad’s arm and dragged him on the dance floor smiling. “I love this song!!”
Skeppy said handing bad a second margarita. They pushed through the crowd together listening to Tongue Tied over the speakers .
“Skeppy!!” Bad stumbled out of the bathroom, already tipsy. Bad looked across the dance floor to see him dancing with a girl they bumped into earlier. Bad mumbled to himself, “He said he was going to dance with me.” George noticed him. “WHAT?” He yelled “NOTHING” Bad yelled back as he headed towards Skeppy and the girl who now looked to be exchanging numbers. “Oh, hey Bad!!” Bad tried to lead Skeppy away from the girl. “How many drinks have you had Skeppy?” Skeppy thought, “Maybe like 5?” “Skeppy!!” Bad exclaimed disappointed. “Come on let’s go pay the tab.” He exchanged a dirty to look to the girl, which didn’t go unnoticed by Skeppy. “Baddd, are you jealous??” Bad rolled his eyes. “Let’s just go Skeppy.” He grabbed Skeppy’s arm and dragged him towards the door. “Definitely jealous,” Skeppy continued. Bad held Skeppy’s arm till they exited the club. “Wait wait wait” Skeppy stumbled. “Skeppy I told you not to drink too much!! Now look at you.” Bad said seriously. “I’ll be fine Bad, I’m not even drunk!! Look!” Skeppy walked forward in a crooked line. “Oh ya, I’m very convinced” Bad said sarcastically. Skeppy leaned towards bad while he was looking at him and grabbed his arm as he fell forward. Next thing he knew, they were on the ground, both laughing their asses off. Skeppy smiled widely, “You always know how to make me laugh Bad that’s all I-,” skeppy continued, “I appreciate you Bad because you know even if im not having a good day I can just talk to you and we-,” he paused, “I can always find a reason to smile.” Skeppy said sincerely continuing to giggle. Bad paused; speechless. “I-, Thank you Skeppy.” Bad admired Skeppy, who was still laughing lightheartedly. Hannah and George walked up, “Are we interrupting something?” George joked. Bad did not seem amused. Bad stood up in front of Skeppy and helped him up. Skeppy skipped ahead of the group walking towards the parking garage opposite of them. “Skeppy? It’s this way.” Bad placed his hands on Skeppy’s shoulders and steered him towards the car. Skeppy giggled reaching for Bad’s hands, “Baddd your hands feel so softttt, you should give me a massage.” Bad chuckled nervously and smiled at Skeppy wide-eyed, continuing to lead him forward. Skeppy stepped back and mocked bad, “Ladies first” he said, still giggling. Bad stepped into the car and scooted over. “Real funny Skeppy.” He exclaimed unamused. Skeppy scooted over after him, opting to sit next to him in the middle, rather than next to the window. George blasted muffin and they all sang along, mocking Skeppy for his e-boy line. Bad sang along in awe of his best friend next to him, finally meeting up after 4 years.
