    Summary

On the evening of April 20th in 1933, policemen uncovered the body of Alastor Bourdeaux in a bayou just outside of New Orleans, Louisiana. The man was a renowned radio host in the city. The search for his body after a hunter reported having shot a human figure deep into the bayou was headed by Lieutenant Park. The only known next of kin is responding officer George Baker of the NOPD. Office Baker has since taken custody of his house, belongings, and young daughter, Eleanor Bourdeaux. Members of the community are welcomed to pay their respects at the deceased’s funeral this Wednesday, April 30th.

Two miles away on that fateful night, in a house tucked in the eerie quiet of the bayou, a five year old girl awakens to the sound of knocking upon her door. Ten days later she attends her father’s funeral with her uncle, George Baker.

After leading a tragic life, Eleanor Sullivan wakes to find herself in hell. Greeted by a friendly demon who introduces herself as Charlie, Eleanor struggles to fit into this new chapter of her life. As her past unravels around her, can the young sinner find closure in familiar and unfamiliar faces?
