Summary:

“I wasn’t actually expecting you to show up.” Jude crossed his arms, leaning against a lone chest that somebody must’ve placed and then promptly forgotten.

“You almost sound excited.”

Work Text:

“Come on, don’t be a bitch.” Sharpness had said for what felt like the millionth time already. Currently Jude was working on building a trap a couple of thousand blocks away from spawn and somehow, somehow Sharpness had found him.

“I told you already, you aren’t moving in.” Jude replied, placing some red stone dust. Ever since him and Sharp had become temporarily allied the swordmaster kept asking if he could move into his base. At first Jude thought it was a joke since Sharp already used his base like it was his own. However as time went on Jude realized that Sharpness was serious about this. For some reason the swordmaster wanted to officially move in.

Quite frankly Jude didn’t care if Sharpness moved in, he practically lived there already. However, he wanted to keep messing with the swordmaster, so when he asked if there was anything he could do, Jude had the perfect answer. “Then marry me,” Jude stared directly into Sharpness’ dull eyes. For a moment those dull eyes narrowed then they returned back to normal.

“Okay.” Was all Sharpness replied and at this Jude truly thought that he had lost his mind.

“You did hear what I said, right? Didn’t get a concussion in your last fight right?”

“I heard what you said, and my mind is as clear as day.” He took a step forward, “If it means I’ll get to share your resources and materials, then let’s get married.”

Jude could feel his heartbeat accelerating, his face starting to redden. Immediately he turned away, pretending to be busy with his redstone. “Okay fine, just don’t regret it later.” Was all the trapper managed to say. He really wasn’t expecting that reply from him. Ever since they started working together Jude had developed a small crush on the blonde. Okay it might be more like a huge crush and the type of crush that drove you crazy every time you thought of them. And now his crush was agreeing to marry him? Instead of backing off he just accepted his weird request. There either was something wrong with Sharpness or he was just really desperate to have a base.

“Don’t worry, I won’t.” Jude could almost hear him smile, but he couldn’t turn around. Not if he wanted to keep his blushing hidden.

“We’ll see.” Jude hummed, trying his best to focus on the redstone.

It was surprisingly easy to convince Tai to create a marriage certificate for them. Jude expected for him to laugh or even try to kill him, but when asked he just said “okay.” Like it was only natural that Jude asked him to do that.

Now here he was waiting at spawn for both Tai and Sharp to arrive. It didn't take long for Sharpness to arrive, as usual he had his armour and skin-tight suit on. One time Jude asked him why he wore that tight suit and the swordmaster had said that it was easier since he was always getting in fights, better be prepared than sorry.

“I wasn’t actually expecting you to show up.” Jude crossed his arms, leaning against a lone chest that somebody must’ve placed and then promptly forgotten.

“And why wouldn’t I? This is our wedding,” Sharpness smirked.

“You almost sound excited.”

“Of course, this is our wedding.” Sharpness said, throwing his hair back. That is when Jude noticed something different about the swordmaster. Instead of his usual black ribbon he was wearing a long indigo ribbon. It was almost as long as his hair and Jude’s brain went into overdrive. He knew exactly what he was doing, Jude thought that this marriage would be like one of those marriages of convenience, but looking at Sharpness’ actions it appeared that the swordmaster had different plans.

Jude chuckled, trying his hardest to hide his blush. However before he could reply back a voice interrupted him.

“Okay let’s get this over with.” Tai said behind him, placing a stack of papers on the chest that Jude was leaning on.

“Why do you need so many documents?” Jude asked, scanning some of the papers.

“Do you think marriage is a joke? All of this is necessary to make this legal.”

“Aren’t you the server owner? Can’t you just make it happen?” Jude asked, grabbing one of the papers which was immediately snatched from him.

“Do you want this marriage to happen, yes or no?” He asked, and Jude knew that he was serious about making this as official as possible.

“Fine, fine whatever.”

“Okay then, let’s get started.” Tai said, gathering all the papers again.

For the next hour both Jude and Sharpness were bombarded with questions regarding their identities, ages, and their info that really had nothing to do with the situation. It was almost as if Tai had just googled “what documents do you have to fill when you get married,” which was definitely something he would do just to mess with them.**

“Now that's all done, we can finally do this.” Tai took another piece of paper from the stack. This one had a fancy border and in cursive writing it read, “Marriage Certificate.” For some reason this made Jude realize the gravity of the situation, he was actually getting married to his crush.

“Okay Sharp, I just need you to sign here. With your legal name.” Tai handed him a pen. There was no way Tai was asking them to sign their actual names.

Tai sighed when the couple just stared at him, “Your usernames, not your actual names.” He rolled his eyes, as if they were the ones to blame for the confusion. Once the situation was clear without hesitation Sharpness signed the document, handing the pen to Jude.

Jude sighed, the document itself looked very legit, the wording and high quality paper meant Tai spent effort on this. He had his doubts when Tai had agreed so fast to this, but as soon as Tai started filling out paperwork he knew that this was the real deal.

“Let’s just get this over with.” Jude mumbled, signing his name on the paper.

As soon as he was done signing, Tai snatched the paper back. “By the power granted in me, I now declare you husband and husband. You can kiss or do whatever you two are into. I’m out of here.” Before any of them could reply Tai had already flown away. Leaving the newly weds alone in the middle of spawn.

“So I guess that’s that.” Jude turned to face Sharpness, only to be met face to face with the swordmaster. “S-Sharp?” Jude tried stepping away, but Sharpness placed his hand on his waist.

“Where are you going, husband?” Combined with Sharpness’ tone and his accent, that was probably the hottest thing he could’ve said. Which made Jude a blushing mess, he didn’t need the swordmaster to know how he felt. He tried to latch the other off him, but Sharpness was stronger than him.

Eventually he gave up, looking at Sharpness in the eyes, “I thought this was a marriage of convenience.”

Sharpness shrugged, leaning his head to Jude’s ear. “Did you really think that?” Okay scratch that, this might be the hottest thing Sharpness has ever said.

Jude tried to control his breathing, trying his best to not give away how much this affected him. “What? Do you like me or something, husband?”

He felt Sharpness smile against his neck, “Why would I agree to marry you if I didn’t?”

Jude rolled his eyes, “You were literally begging to be my roommate.”

“That was just an excuse to be closer to you, you were the one who proposed to me.” He said, looking back at him.

“I did do that.”

“Yeah you did.”

They stared at each other several seconds before they both leaned into each other. It’d be hard to say who kissed the other first, but the kiss that the trapper and swordmaster shared was sweet and painfully tender. They both had waited a long time for this moment. It only took them getting married to finally confess their feelings.

“FUCKING FINALLY!” An all too recognizable voice yelled, breaking the couple apart.

“Tai I’m going to kill you.” Sharpness yelled back, meanwhile Tai was perched on a rooftop, laughing his ass off.

Sharpness was immediately on him, however Tai made no effort to fight him, accepting what was coming. “Wait, wait.”

“What do you want bitch?” Sharpness gritted out, his sword mid-air.

“Kill me if you want, but here.” Tai took two matching velvet boxes from his pocket. “A wedding gift for you two idiots.”

Sharpness raised an eyebrow. “It’s not a trap, take it.” Tai insisted.

“It better not be.” Sharpness took the boxes, but as he did, his sword connected with Tai’s torso.

“Bro, really?” Tai coughed blood.

_Tai was slain by conexión

“Saving all the fun for yourself.” Jude flew to the rooftop landing beside his husband.

“Here, a wedding gift from Tai.” Sharpness handed the box labeled Jude to him.

Jude opened the small velvet box, inside a ring with an obsidian gem. He looked over at Sharpness’ box which held an identical ring, the only difference was that his was an amethyst gem.

“They’re beautiful.” Jude mumbled, he had to accept Tai had good taste. Of course he would never admit it to him, no need to raise his ego even more.

“Here.” Sharpness handed his ring to Jude, placing his left hand out.

“Over the glove?” Jude raised a brow, he knew that the swordmaster never took them off so it made sense, but having jewelry whilst fighting could prove to be dangerous.

Sharpness nodded and Jude obeyed, slipping the ring in; it fitted perfectly. Then Sharpness did the same for Jude, once again the ring fitting perfectly.

Sharpness smiled, “Till death do us part.”

“So cliche,” Jude rolled his eyes. He leaned in, kissing his husband. “Till death do us part.” He whispered against his lips, a silent promise to always be together. His crush, the guy he’d killed so many times with his traps, was now his husband.
