Summary
Viren and his wife, Lissa, have tried everything possible to save their son but have come up dry. The building pressure on Virens marriage due to his decision to become a mage and his son's ailment has led him to drown his sorrows at a bar. He meets a handsome stranger offering him the opportunity to save his sick son.
The stranger offers to seal the deal with old magic to guarantee both sides fulfilled but Viren tries the leave once hears what the man wants. The stranger offers him a pendant then tells him to find him outside the castle walls if Viren changes his mind.

I got tired of writing this specific fic but am satisfied enough with how it turned out. This fic will have stuff in it that isn't answered here but hopefully answered in a series of fics that will connect plot wise.
