Summary
Alex Romero’s memories of Norma Bates were foggy. After her death, it felt as though he had died too—the only difference was that he was still breathing. The memories of her had been erased from his mind, leaving behind nothing but an ache he couldn’t name. And he would spend the rest of his life trying to remember her again, even if it meant searching for her in fragments—finding an epitome of her in someone else.
Even if he forgot, that familiar, aching feeling would always chase him. He would never get the chance to tell her—but he would love her whether she was here or not. Living or dead. Breathing or not.
