Chapter 1: Prologue

Chapter Text

                                                                                                 HIT-GIRL VS SHADOW STALKER

Normally, Sophia wouldn't be think of hunting another cape but in the past few days Hit-Girl had been off the rails. She raided the merchants cut them badly, Skidmark lost a hand (like actually lost she apparently took it with her). Worst of all his guns and money had been taken too so they were rumors Hit-Girl broken bad sided with another faction like the ABB.

She could be asian, Shadow Stalker thought. But her mask covered most of her face so she couldn't tell.

Hit-Girl was short was shorter than the average hero, some said she might be a midget but there were theories that it was related to her power. Compacting her size to give her greater strength, speed and durability. But it was just a theory.

She carried two katanas, she used to carry batons but that changed. It made Shadow Stalker feel less bad about shooting her.

The rubber bolt flew aimed at the back of her neck. A nasty injury if it hit but nonchalantly, Hit-Girl shifted her head away before turning to Shadow Stalker.

"That was a warning shot"

Hit-Girl didn't even bother with a response, drawing her one of her blades. Shadow Stalker retorted with another bolt from her other crossblow- a real one this time.

The steel of the katana snapped as it broke against the bolt slowly it down and redirecting so that it dropped softly to the ground.

One blade left.

Hit-Girl took out her other blade. Slowly approaching her. She withdrew cartridges and loaded them.

Hit-Girl picked up the pace now, going into a her full sprint. Shadow Stalker was surprised by the speed but not frightened, she shot another bolt.

And Hit-Girl cut it straight in half!

"Are you done with the warnings now?"

She briefly shifted into her shadow state, the katana swung and hit nothing and now Hit-Girl was leaping straight over the roof.

She turned back her neck to see if she would fall but she found Hit-girl legs on her neck.

"Hurricane!" Hit girl gleefully cried as she twisted her legs to send Shadow Stalker flying off the roof with her.

She went back into her Shadow State and she went lighter and was almost floating in the darkness. Hit-Girl on the other had vaulted of one off the railing before backflipping onto the ground.

"You got a 23% of leaving her uninjured and in a 2% of beating me" Hit-Girl said.

"What kind of threat is that, Shadow Stalker said landing 3 feet from Hit-Girl.

"It's not a threat. I got the readings from a very reputable source"

"Both your blades are broken now,so what are your chances"

Hit-Girl looked at her sword seeing that her journey down had split the left if chipped. She dropped it on the ground beside her.

"...seems so"

Shadow Stalker shot a bolt but Hit-Girl dodged it point-blank her speed was leagues what it had been on the roof. Then she threw something that struck Stalker's mask, the surprise sent STalker reeling and then she realised she was bleeding. Hit-Girl kicked her straight in a abdomen and then she fell. There was a reeling all over body similar getting electrocuted even while gasping for air the humor of that wasn't lost on her.

"I think that was a liver shot" Hit-Girl said, standing over incapacitated opponent. "What about you Hess?"
