It had started a like a normal day. Wild making breakfast, wind talking nonstop, legend and warriors fighting over something small. It was an absolutely perfect day!!
So WHY did a portal just pick them up and split the entire chain into seperate groups. And why didn’t fours head hurt from the transition? Well, because it wasn’t four. It was… five?
Red opened their eyes to see they was in temple of sorts. Well it looked like a prison cell but… it felt more like a temple. Vio would probably tell him to be more descriptive.
Wait…
‘Well that isn’t good’ they thought as they put the pieces together. If they couldn’t hear blue Vio or green, had full control over the body, and had no shadow, then they split!
“Four? Are you alright? I’d like to start moving soon.”
Times voice rang through the area as red re-opened their eyes and got up on their feet.
“I’m fine. We can move now if you want.”
That’s it. Act professional like Vio or green. Keep up the lie. Even though red hated lying, not all their siblings had agreed to tell anyone.
Blue didn’t trust anyone with their secret, green didn’t care, Vio and shadow both just wanted to wait for a dramatic moment.
“Alright. Let’s go.!!”
Winds voice sounded exited, most likely because they were exploring somewhere new
And at that, hero’s started navigating the temple.
Time sent odd looks sometimes, probably because reds tunic was red instead of multicoloured, and they didn’t have a sword on their back, but instead a fire rod.
Also because red spoke more than their siblings. They were ranting as much as wind does, and time was certainly not used to that.
Time also looked like he wanted to retire. Probably because red and wind were setting off every trap imaginable.
“Four?”
“Yes?”
“Nice tunic change.”
Now, that statement shut red up real fast, and the rest of the journey had a lot less talking
Well, until wind found a lever. Then there was a loud scream and an explosion.
Don’t worry. There all okay if you put beside time’s sanity
Shadow opened their eyes expecting to be in the shadow of the colours.
Not wherever the fuck he was now!
It was a big circular room with a statue of the goddess in the middle, some pillars and the rest was empty.
There were 4 entry’s to the room that had no door and were pretty close to each other, and one big closed door at the opposite side, probably the exit.
“Well. I’m alone with nothing to do. What could go wrong.”
And it was true. There was no one nearby, and he would leave if he didn’t sense the colours had split and are on different paths heading to him.
Oh, and the other hero’s with them.
How funny would it be if blue was with warriors at legend?!
There wasn’t much to do, so shadow began to sing a song. Very off key very loudly
🎶 “ oh……. I’m stuck in room with nobody! Nobody but myself!!!! What could go wrong? Nothing if I didn’t have a fire rod! One I stole from legend! There must be something flammable here, oh there MUST be! I’m locked in a room! With a stolen fire rod! With nobody but myself!!!!!!”🎶
It was an annoying song he made up then and there, and would definitely sing to the colours later.
The song was interrupted with cuss words when he heard a explosion nearby
“Four? You alright bud?” Warriors voice rang through the area.
Green opened his eyes to a dimly lit room before responding.
“Yes, it’s just… quiet.” When warriors here’s this, it’s because there’s no sound nearby. But when green says it, there’s no colours in his head
With the splitting headache and silence, green concludes they split in the portal switch
Which wouldn’t be a problem if shadow is with one of them
But of course green has no way of knowing.
Unless he hears an explosion
“Do you want me to help? I know I can’t do anything for the headache but….”
Hyrule seems hesitant, probably because blue snapped at him last time from the headache.
Seeing the headaches have been getting worse, maybe they were getting more tired?
Yeah, that’s a question to ask Vio later.
“No thanks hyrule. I’m fine.” And it was true! Mostly. Just put aside the panic that shadow will get himself killed, he’s fine!
Warriors interrupted his thoughts with
“We should head out then. The sooner we find everyone, the better”
As soon as they stepped out of the room they were dropped in, green decided to try act normal. Should be easy right?
Well, since they weren’t four, he didn’t have Vio or blue helping him talk to everyone to keep up appearances.
So unless green wanted to lie
(Which he is terrible at)
He would have to stay back and talk as little as possible.
But of course he has to obviously swear very loudly and out of character when they heard an explosion.
He’ll be talking to Red about that later.
An explosion rang through the area as Blue shot up from were she was lying.
“The fuck?! Did red find something to set on fire?!”
Twilight turned to see blue sitting up, obviously distressed
“Oh! You’re awake!” Twilight exclaimed
Wild was the next to speak, “I think one of the others set off a trap.”
Blue looked in confusion, before realising what happened
‘Shit. We must of split in the portal.’
Blue decided to just act natural. Sure green will get mad later, but who gives a fuck?
“Oh, ok. Let’s go you wolf and arsonist”
Wild and twilight shared an odd look before deciding the headache made her snappy.
“Oh, ok!” Wild replied, before running ahead.
Now blue was annoyed. She wanted to be in front so she could kill any monsters, but now couldn’t.
She was also constantly telling wild to stop touching every little thing they found in case it was cursed.
She might as well be with red.
Oh, and she was BEGGING to the golden three that shadow didn’t do anything dumb or stupid.
But she knew her prayers would stay unanswered.
Vio opened their eyes to a room. They had a headache and full control over the body.
‘We must have split in the portal.’
Was the first thought that came to mind.
Vio got up to see who their companions were.
Legend was trying magic objects on the door that led out of the room everyone was placed in while sky was trying to use his skyward strikes at the door.
“Could I try?”
Both hero’s turned to see the shortest hero was up and about.
Legend was the one to reply. “Sure, but I doubt you’ll have much luck-“
He was interrupted by Vio opening the door by using the handle like a normal person.
Sky just thanked Vio and walked on, while legend was much more disturbed.
“What happened to your tunic!?”
Vio resisted the urge to role their eyes when they answered.
“No clue.”
Legend put away any bad feelings and just tried to ignore it.
Meanwhile, Vio was daydreaming what their siblings were up to. Was red setting things on fire? Was blue murdering some bokoblins? Was shadow being stupid? Was green trying to not worry about his brothers that will most likely get themselves killed? Yeah. Probably.
And Vio and the others reached the end off the corridor, just knew that there was no getting out of this one.
After all, shadow was singing a song about arson on top of the goddess statue. Red was showing wind how to use a fire rod. Blue was threatening to take people’s kneecaps and green was trying to clear everything up with everyone else.
Dear Hylia they have stupid brothers.
Green was worried. Everyone was shouting and people were worried they were some kind of dark link! Well, shadow wasn’t helping.
Blue was being violent and red was showing wind, something, but green didn’t have the energy to see what. Vio better get here soon
And just like he summoned him, there was a whistle only Vio could make.
Suddenly, everyone shut up.
“SHADOW! STOP SINGING ABOUT ARSON!!!!”
Time noticed how the ‘shadow’ four gave a pouting face but stopped.
“RED!! IF YOU DON’T PUT THAT FIRE ROD AWAY I WILL SNAP IT IN HALF!! AGAIN!!”
wind noticed how the red four started to put it away.
“BLUE, STOP THREATENING TO TAKE KNEECAPS!!”
Warriors saw how the blue four shut its mouth very quickly.
“AND GREEN, wait, never mind. You’re being good.”
Green obviously distressed looked at Vio before shouting
“VIO!! GET OVER HERE!!”
Soon, the colours were all on a line, mostly behaving, they were all talking at once trying to not get killed
Legend was next to speak.
“Four! What the actual fuck?!”
Four replied, well, Vio did.
“So, on our 2nd adventure, link forged the four sword. Then, one became four. Red, blue, green, and me, Vio. “
Then blue took over. “We went on our adventure, shit happened, we adopted our evil shadow, who turned good.”
Wind spoke up, bouncing with excitement.
“So, can I hear your song?!”
Vio blue and green all hit their palms to their foreheads in frustration, while red looked exited.
Shadow quickly flew above the hero’s, and started belting his song very loudly.
Blue shouted, very annoyed by now.
“SHADOW!!! SERIOUSLY SHUT THE FUCK UP!!!”
Shadow ignored him, only after Vio spoke a very direct threat in minish that the other colours looked quite scared to hear did he come back down
“What did he say?!”
The remark came from warriors, who looked surprised that the shadow actually listened.
Vio spoke on behalf of the colours.
“Oh nothing. Just a few threats”
Legend eyed him suspiciously.
“What threats?”
“Let’s just say that Vio is most certainly the ‘evil quadruple in this dynamic” said red
“Quintuplets”. Vio corrected
Blue turned to face them. “Fuck you!”
Green tried to seperate them, but got dragged into the fight. Shadow joined for fun leaving red to explain the rest.
“We get headaches from the portals because of this. Shadow is not evil, vio is a great actor, blue is a hothead, green is peacemaker and I’m a kid.
Blue escaped the fight to give a better explanation.
“Voi the brain cell, greens the perfectionist, I’m the best, reds the baby and shadows an annoying bitch.”
Soon both blue and red were dragged onto the fight, and they started talking on another language.
A portal opened up soon after taking the hero’s back to the camp they were at that mourning.
The colours stayed split for the rest of the night, answering remaining questions and telling all sorts of funny stories.
Soon it was time for bed, and they all jumped on into a tired pile, falling asleep instantly.
Wild got a picture before heading towards bed, and hyrule took first watch.
Today may have been a surprise, but it was a day to remember. That’s for sure.
