April 2nd 2012
Today me and Matthias wrote the internet post I’ve been writing about. It took us a while to figure out this… strange website called “Tumblr.com”, but eventually we got the hang of it and wrote something. We were supposed to do it yesterday, but realised it was April Fools Day and didn’t want anyone to think we were joking. I’m completely serious about finding Emil a penpal. We also decided to do our best and make the post in English, since Emil speaks it extremely well, and we figured it would increase the chances of finding him a penpal, as well as be a fun way to practice the language. Learning through fun is great. I think I did a good job.
I’m tired of seeing his frown. And since he’s so stubbornly convinced that nobody would ever wanna be his friend, I decided to prove him otherwise. I’m sure somebody will e-mail him eventually.

I see. It is pretty annoying, I admit. My brother is really nosy.
…But I guess it’s alright. You did go out of your way to e-mail me, afterall. Did you really see pandas in real life? Where? Do you have any pictures?

I did see them!! At ocean park. Its a waterpark in HK. I live there ദ്ദി◝ ⩊ ◜.ᐟ

It’s a shame you don’t have pictures, but it’s amazing you still saw them. Personally, I’ve never seen a panda and I probably never will because of where I live, which is Norway. If that wasn’t bad enough already, unfortunately I live in the countryside. Hong Kong seems like a massive city, I’ve seen it in pictures. How is it like living there? The biggest city I’ve ever been to is Ålesund. I assume you don’t even know where that is.

Ik HK looks like a massive city but most of its territory is actually countryside!!!! We js developed vertically bc the countryside is harsh and inhabitable… plus ppl often only focus on the urban side. I love both sides so it's a win for me!!! The transp system is good and cheap as well.
I love it trust. I mean like the city. It does have its downsides like everything else tho. Like the traffic and all the prices and the pollution (｡•́︿•̀｡)... And the school christtttttttttttt. I get homeschoold tho i experienced it b4.
Idk where Alesund is. Sorry.

I didn’t know it was mostly countryside. I’ve only ever seen the tall, lit skyscrapers. That’s kinda cool, though.
Why did you choose to be homeschooled? Is the school system that bad?
Also yes, I do live in a small village. My class in school only has 6 other kids in it.

April 2012
A couple days ago this strange person began e-mailing me every single night. I found out it was another one of Sigurd’s weird antics. Seriously, what is his problem? If I’m lonely, then I’m lonely. It’s none of his business.
At first I was really upset at him for putting my e-mail address somewhere on the internet, but I’ve calmed down since. This Leon guy isn’t as bad as I thought he’d be. It’s weird to admit, but I’ve grown a liking towards him. The e-mails usually come very late at night, so I’m only able to reply after school. That’s alright, though. It’s a nice routine. I just hope he didn’t start messaging me out of pity, or something. Sigurd did make me look very pathetic in that post. So annoying…
I was a really edgy teenager, I know… If only back then I knew what these e-mails would lead to. On the other hand, I can’t believe I didn’t have a stroke reading your writing. Though honestly, thinking back to it now, I’ve got to admit it was kind of endearing.
Anyway, after reading that old diary entry, I think it’s about time we say thank you to Sigurd. We really wouldn’t have met if it wasn't for him, huh?
