Annabeth ran her fingers through Percy's hair as he lied miserably against her.
He was having a really bad ME/CFS flare-up, utterly exhausted and feeling as though he'd been hit by a bus.
Annabeth kept the room dark and quiet so as to minimize his sensory input, but she knew touch helped him in these moments, so she continued to hold him and stroke his hair.
"I've got you" she said softly. "I'm sorry you feel so bad"
"I love you" Percy replied, audibly exhausted as he leaned further into her. She smiled weakly.
"I love you too, Seaweed Brain"
