PT1: A strange bridge and hidden chest.
Shortly after the end of BFDI and Inanimate Insanity, two mortals, known as Yin-Yang, wandered around the forest and found a medium sized wooden bridge that lead to another separate land. It appeared to be the land of Goiky. Where the various BFDI/TPOT contestants lived. They've never seen that land before and were intrigued. How have they not noticed this? Soon after, another object from THAT land, a mortal known as Book, had also noticed the bridge. They both had different reactions on what to do.
The black and white demons just walked away, while Book decided to cross the bridge herself out of curiosity. She was now on Inanimate Island. She decided to explore this new land and found Yin-Yang walking by themselves too. Obviously, she’s never seen them before, and called out to them, wanting to know who they were, but with the sense of stranger danger from Yin, they ran off. Book soon followed. And after a little while, Yin-Yang came across a different part of the island that they haven't seen yet either. It was a large open grassy field with a huge blue lake. As they stared at their new surroundings, Book had caught up to them.
They were still uncertain with talking to her, but quickly took notice of the gauze bandages wrapped around her arms and legs. She told them that due to a certain lava related incident a few years back, she had suffered some pretty bad burns that damaged her skin. She then asked about some of their.. strange features that's she's never seen on an object as well, such as their demon horns, tail, sharp teeth, and tiny wings. How are they demons though? That's a secret... Anyways, after a little while, they bonded and decided to become friends. It's also here where Book learns that Yin-Yang along with the other objects on Inanimate Island don't exactly have a past like her.. it took her a while to believe that.
Afterwards, they get up and decide to head back to where they were, but Yin-Yang trips on something that they THOUGHT was a rock stuck in the dirt. Book gets a closer look and notices that it's not a rock, but what looked to be a small, brown treasure chest. Wanting to know what was in it, Yin-Yang rushes back to the hotel, gets a shovel and decides to try and dig it up.
After a few minutes worth of digging, they eventually get the chest out of the ground. Book washes off the rest of the dirt and manages to open it with a pick. Inside the chest were 14 assorted diamonds. All in various rainbow colors and shades:
Red, Orange, Yellow, Green, Cyan, Blue, Indigo, Purple, Magenta, Pink, White, Grey, Black, and Gold.
The objects were in awe and decided to take the chest home. Yin-Yang hides it in their room and decides to check out the red and blue diamonds, while Book takes the pink diamond from it. They say their goodbyes and ultimately part ways.

PT2: The Goddess Meeting.
At night, Yin, Yang, and Book were visited by the original owners of the diamonds, who are revealed to be deities/goddesses. The objects were a bit freaked out but they soon explained what happened. Unbeknownst to them, after touching the diamonds that they did, They ended up reactivating its magic. The goddesses took a good look at the objects that took the diamonds, as well as some of their friends, and deemed them worthy to be the next in line to be... magical objects? They were confused but the goddesses gave them the rundown:
-They take the diamonds that were in the chest and get their own powers
-Their regular black/white eyes will change colors, debating on which diamond they chose, and some of their physical features will change too.
-They would get their own full names
-Every so often, they get training sessions in order to use their powers more safely, and how to preform other mandatory tasks.
-And more importantly, they would soon travel into certain realms from all over to defeat various evil entities from stealing power, and protecting realm inhabitants from any potential harm!
When these goddesses say that there’s various, they mean it. Their evil had actually been the cause of the previous league’s complete demise! And this new league that they’re planning to form is the first one in years.
This deal seemed great at first glance, but then the goddesses added in one more thing: Once these diamond are passed down, they can no longer be returned and will be stuck with them forever. Basically, the diamonds would be disguised either as a bracelet, knee pad, head accessory, or anything else. And once it’s connected onto the object’s body, the powers fused within the diamond begin to mix with their souls. The more they use their powers, the bond grows stronger.
If the diamond slightly cracks, it can be repaired, but if it's shattered beyond repair, or gets separated from them in some way, then they will be at risk of death.
(note: forgive me if that sounds like a madoka reference. I thought it was an original concept that I made 4 years ago but I guess not,,, oh well.)
And as long as they keep their diamonds safe, everything will be fine. They would also learn how to make and repair diamonds for safety purposes. Regardless, Book, Yin, and Yang accept the offer to become magical objects. And they were tasked with finding the other few objects that they chose to keep the remaining 11 unactivated diamonds. They wanted to make a new league, and only 3 objects weren't gonna make the cut this time around.
The other objects made eligible for this league were: Candle, Clover, Cabby, Lightning, Gaty, Saw, Bubble, Teardrop, Ice Cube, Suitcase, and Poppy.

And once they share the diamonds, they need to be sure that they tell NOBODY ELSE about their powers and always follow the rules, and most importantly: DO NOT GIVE THE UNWORTHY MORTALS DIAMONDS.
The next day, they did just that. They found the 11 other objects to keep the rest of the diamonds. And the same thing that happened to Book and Yin-Yang also happened to them, they got their new powers, gained physical altercations, and are then brought together by the bridge for another bonding event.
But it’s here where Yin-Yang appears to make a bit of an enemy... Gaty. Who's had a grudge against any demon/entity since the One incident. And as told by her goddess guide, Chanel, demons weren't a qualified species or ‘hybrid’ for leagues anymore. Not after what happened with one of their ancient members who went off the deep end... So she became suspicious of them going forward.
But anyway... After some more bonding, the 14 objects had now successfully formed the Future League of Magical Objects (Abbreviated to FLOMO). The FLOMO members' main abilities and full names will now be listed down below:

After everything, the goddesses revealed that they had also created some sort of secret hideout in an open area of the woods for them in order to practice training more. And to help conceal their powers + physical altercations from the other mortals, they used contacts and special 'mortal forms' That was until one of them found out what happened.

PT3: The Spirit Resurrection.
One day, Yin-Yang was in their room alone, reverted to their magical selves and started using their powers for a bit, but Test Tube walked in and found them in the act. Spilling the secret out. And after an awkward conversation, She took them to her lab to ask them some questions regarding that. And after taking a look at their powers, body changes, and more importantly, their beautiful diamonds, she soon said that she wished to powers like them too, but later got over it after Yin-Yang told her that it was a bad idea. The goddesses DID tell them what would happen if a mortal like her would get powers, considering how she wasn't even chosen to be one. She and the other mortals who weren’t elected were deemed as ‘unworthy’.
At night though, Yin-Yang debated and changed their minds about her statement. They decided that despite her various flaws, she shouldn’t immediately be pointed as ‘unworthy’ by the more powerful objects, deciding to surprise her by making her own diamond.
The next day, it was done. They took the diamond creation book from the hideout, gathered the few items necessary and successfully created her a light violet diamond.
They then called Test Tube to their room again and showed her the diamond. They told her to follow their instructions on how to accept the diamond. And yes, it worked. The diamond was placed as a bracelet for her and she officially became the first known spirit after such a long time.
Now, Spirits are kind of just like magical objects, but the amount of power they have in general varies. It’s either high, low, in between, or too crazy. They also can't really do the same things as magical objects can, and are more susceptible to certain dangers that magical objects can easily deal with. So they're kind of rendered as useless.
Yin then warned her to NEVER EVER tell anybody about what they just did. She also got a pair of black contacts. But after two days, she failed at her task. (What a surprise.)
She got into a scuffle with Pencil and Match when they accidentally stumbled onto Inanimate Island after getting lost, and completely exposed her powers to defend herself. It was in front of a handful of the II mortals, including Poppy, who is a member of FLOMO. They noticed the violet diamond on her wrist and dashed to the hideout to where the other members were. They quickly alerted them and they rushed back to the surface. But by then it was too late. Test Tube had now shown her powers to everyone. Freaking them out and leaving them confused. She was escorted to the hotel by Poppy, while Yin-Yang was dragged into the hideout.
Yin-Yang was later forced to reveal the truth. And they knew they were gonna suffer with BAD consequences. Basically, if a future magical object tells someone about their true identity or even goes so far as to GIVE someone who's not like them a diamond, they get expelled from the league for an indefinite period of time, if not forever. They were then taken down to their hideout, where, after a session of arguing, yelling, and eventually confessing, the Goddess of Balance, Charly, aka the goddess who is in charge of giving and revoking diamonds, was called down by the others.
Long story short, Yin and Yang's diamonds were revoked and they were now expelled. Nobody could say anything either. When something happens to a magical object, the others need to mind their own business and be quiet. Which unfortunately also applied to their friend, Book. Who was incapable to stand up for them under threat of expulsion herself, despite promising that she would earlier.
Obviously, Yin and Yang are crushed and devastated. Test Tube is also left feeling guilty about the whole situation. Not just due to causing Yin-Yang’s expulsion, but now, she’s being seen as a pariah to the others around her who had witnessed the fight, including her close partners and Bot, and was now currently under supervision by Poppy until Charly returned for her later on in the week, as she had other business to deal with. It sucked, but she knew there was nothing that she could do to fix this.
That is until there was news that broke out regarding Saw, Suitcase and Ice Cube. According to something Test Tube heard from Candle, they got into contact with some strange, demon entity, named Kalevala, who somehow snuck up to the island and had kidnapped them. This entity is the longtime enemy of the goddesses, was the one who was most at fault for assassinating the previous league, and had stolen their original powers that had been passed down from the other generations. So after hearing about this brand new generation of magical objects, with all new different types of abilities, she just HAD to go after them.
Candle, along with the other FLOMO members left to go save the three. But after Test Tube found out about the news, she decided to do something too. Not only to save them, but to prove that she wasn't bad news and to also get Yin-Yang back into their league. She snuck into the hideout, managed to gather information on how to get into the dangerous realm they had to travel through, and got the now mortal Yin-Yang to help out.
There, she found the three girls (along with the others) getting attacked, injured and berated at by the demon entity, alongside her assistants. Test Tube took off her contacts and burst into action. She started attacking, blasted them with her cold powers and froze two of them in the end, while the main entity had run off. All the while Yin-Yang gathered the other league members to a safe zone. She then freed the three girls and everyone returned back home safely. And thankfully, nobody was badly harmed.
The FLOMO members (along with Yin-Yang) are impressed and begin to develop second thoughts. Test Tube is then brought back into the hideout, where the balance goddess is called again. She is still uncertain about the idea, but after a strong amount of pleading, she finally decided to give Yin and Yang their diamonds back. But she still wasn't so sure about having Test Tube be worthy enough to keep her diamond. That is until she got a word from the Primary God, Iris!
As it turns out, After the main demon entity's defeat, she had sent out a widespread message to several other dangerous entities in various realms of evil, who have also been wanting more power. So now, not only are the magical objects in a huge wave of danger, but so are their friends! That's just great isn't it? Luckily, there was a solution: they needed more power. And it required not just Test Tube, but all of the other 100+ unchosen mortals.
A few days later, the members of FLOMO and Test Tube arranged an event. They got all of the other mortals into one spot in order explain what occurred during the last 3 weeks, and to give out various diamonds to them, turning them into more spirits, and giving them VARIOUS physical altercations! Some diamonds were samples of the goddess's own ones, while others were other diamonds with different powers, as well as a variety of shades and colors. And now in the present, the two lands became ruled by Magical Objects and Spirits forever.
But little do they know, the main demon entity who took Saw, Ice Cube and Suitcase and who ran off is still out there. She now became aware of the new worthy spirits. And this time, she's not gonna rest until she gets those diamonds fair and square.
But yea. That pretty much wraps up the backstory! Now, let's get into whatever these fools can get themselves into!
