It was one of the few nights that Jason had off, and their little family decided to make the best of it.
Alex was picking out the movie, Percy was making the popcorn and Jason was making the hot chocolate.
Alex was sorting through Jason’s Disney+ account, looking for something good to watch.
Earlier in day, Jason had to run out, (there was a problem at one of his warehouses he needed to solve quickly) and during this time, Percy had taught Alex how to bake his moms cookies.
Alex was laughing, Percy smiled, both of them had flour and blue food colouring all over them.
“Why blue?” Alex asked, “tastes better,” was all Percy responded.
Alex didn’t know what that meant, but they tried one of the cookies, and Percy was right, they did taste better.
Now the plate of cookies sat on the coffee table, bowls of popcorn and mugs of hot chocolate around it.
On the couch, Jason and Percy sat right next to each other, Alex leaning against the both of them as they clicked into Hercules.
(If anyone paid attention, they would hear Percy mutter ‘Heracles’ and ‘he’s weak’)
