Chapter Text
"I just felt," Gil continued, powerless to stop the flow of words, "that you should know. Given that we're. Um. Allied, I suppose."
Agatha managed not to roll her eyes at this description of their relationship. "Thank you," she said instead. "I don't think this is going to change anything, though."
"Really?"
"Really." Agatha tilted her head thoughtfully. "It would be one thing if this secret twin sister was interested in joining us, but..."
The smile that had been creeping across Gil's face vanished entirely. "No, hold on, what? Secret twin sister?"
"Yes? The one you just told me about?"
"No! I just told you I was transgender!" Gil winced the moment the words left her mouth. Yes, use a new and highly specialized term, that would really clear things up.
She should have known better than to underestimate Agatha, who simply nodded. "Okay, that makes much more sense." She grinned. "A secret twin is a bit too melodramatic, even for our lives."
Gil would have replied, but she was still trying to figure out what Agatha meant by this "making sense."
(Elsewhere, Zeetha was struck by a powerful urge to hit Agatha with a stick. For training purposes, naturally.)
