“You’ll be my cure, and I’ll be your soul,” Maria tells Shadow in a whisper when she hears the hedgehog sigh. Shadow nods as she traces her finger along the edge between black and red quills, voice muffled as he pulls her closer, “I’ll protect and take care of you, the way you always protect and look after me.”
“As long as we’re together,” Shadow sighs as he repeats their little mantra, “We’ll always be complete.”
