Alex’s birthday was coming up, but they didn’t ask for much.
In reality, they only asked for a couple books and some things to draw with, though they didn’t specify what exactly they wanted.
Which is how Damian ended up shopping with Jason while Percy stayed back at home with Alex to keep them busy.
If Jason was correct, the two of them were actually baking.
“These are good pencil crayons,” Damian said, grabbing a pack and putting them in the buggy.
Next, they moved onto paints, Damian grabbing a good pack, putting it in the cart and moving to the brushes, markers, canvases, and sketchbooks. Grabbing the best type, then putting them in the cart.
In the end, Jason had spent close to $250 on art supplies, but Damian had made sure that what he had picked out were the best.
Before heading home, Jason stopped at his favourite bookstore, and instead of grabbing books, got Alex a gift card with $100 on it, knowing it’s always better to pick out your own books just in case.
He walked back into the apartment to Alex covered in flour, Percy’s hands dyed blue, and both of them laughing.
Jason sighed, quickly putting the bags in his and Percy’s room before joining the two out in the kitchen, quickly laughing along with them.
