Alex and Percy were baking in the kitchen.
Percy and Jason had planned it out, Jason would go out and get the gifts for Alex, and Percy would keep them company while he was out.
They started by making muffins. They had banana bread, chocolate chips and blueberry muffins, the blueberry ones dyed blue. They moved on to making full banana bread. Both of those spent about 2 and a half hours, they had about an hour and a half left, so they decided to make cookies next.
Though, Percy let Alex lead on those.
Which is how Alex and Percy both ended up with flour all over them.
Percy got a picture of Alex, their eyes wide, normally black hair gray with all the flour, staring at the camera. They decided that they’d clean up after they put the cookies in, but they still needed food colouring.
Percy went to go add it, but somehow, the bottle exploded, staining Percy’s hands blue.
Both Alex and Percy started laughing at that, just as Jason walked in.
Alex had noticed Jason come in, so he quickly dropped off the bags and went to join Percy and Alex in the kitchen, snorting when he saw the mess, then when Alex explained what happened with the dye, fully joined Alex and Percy in laughing about it.
In the end, they finished the cookies, (using a new bottle of food colouring, (Jason took it before Percy could try again)) and as those baked, Percy and Alex made quick work of the mess they made in the kitchen while Jason took care of the things they had already baked.
It was a good day.
