She looks surprised, and you realize it's the first time she’s seen you laugh. She smiles back at you, bright gray eyes softening into fondness. Hyuna looks at you not like you are everything, but like she might want you anyway. Like she might keep you anyway.
She is beautiful, you think. You couldn't crush her if you tried.
Something catches your eye as you wind down, stifling down the laughter as you wheeze and choke on it. She is smiling at you, Hyuna, all soft and warm, but you can no longer focus on her, but on the ghost behind her.
