Summary
Haruki Nakayama, a struggling actor desperate for work, is cast in a boys’ love (BL) adult video (AV) series without auditioning—the director simply loves his face.
On set, he meets Akihiko Kaji, a famous AV idol and mainstream actor. Inexperienced with men, Haruki visits a gay bar for “research,” only to encounter Akihiko, who proposes method acting: pretending to be a real couple, including sex, to build authentic chemistry.
As filming progresses, Haruki works alongside high-profile BL stars Ugetsu Murata and Shogo Itaya, who are contractually limited to simulated intimacy only.
Through intense shoots, rehearsals, and private “practice,” Haruki realizes AV idols are ordinary people with dreams and insecurities. He sheds his prejudices, embraces the industry—and perhaps his deepening feelings for Akihiko.
