Summary
Violet Sorrengail isn’t built to be a Dragon Rider. That role is reserved for some of the most elite minds and bodies of the vast kingdom of Navarre. Violet is anything but elite, yet her determination remains unbound as she dedicates the rest of her life to becoming one of the coveted Dragon Riders. But to do this, she has to pass through the grueling training through Basgiath, surrounded by others who are vying for that same spot on the mountaintop, just as she is. Violet will have to rely on her wits and what little strength she has to succeed, in spite of all of the doubters. The world expects her to die. But a Sorrengail never dies.
A/N: this is a rewrite of the first book of the saga. Full disclosure: while the first book had some decent ideas, the book itself I found lacking in certain areas. So this story is a rewrite, in my own style. There will be some changes to some of the lore and characters, still trying to keep the style of the source but merging it with my own style.
