   Summary

   Ned Stark makes a choice. Ashara Dayne must live with what she has lost, and been given in it's place.

   Aemon Sand grows up far from his father's Northern homeland, beneath the shadows of the Red Mountains and in the waters of the Torrentine, in his mother's home of Starfall, raised by the long memory of injustice gone unanswered. When Five Kings go to war, Aemon - neither Stark nor Dayne, Snow or Sand, must choose who he is meant to be in a world ever-changing, as family ties draw him into a War that may never truly end, and dreams of death lead him further away from anything he has ever known.
