Summary
Something brushes against her foot.
Kurapika freezes, holding her breath. The terror comes back crushing against her ribs and pouring into the pit of her stomach, like a cold tsunami wave. She peers into the darkness before her, eyes wide and unblinking. There's a hint of a large shape close to her, so dark it's almost impossible to make it out. She strains her eyes, looking, and then something glints among the sea of black.
What looks like two rows of spherical eyes are staring back at her.
Kurapika screams, thrashing in the web of a giant spider.
