yeah this one is hard to summarize but like a mysterious stranger guy steals zubins (not the tally hall member) ring that he apperently had as an heirloom and threatens him with spiders
and then they argue

Notes:

this was also written for an assignment and i had to make it involve a stolen ring, a fear of spiders, and a mysterious stranger iirc the assignment was a while ago and i never posted this or the others

Work Text:

Gerard was searching through his purse. He had lost an item very important to him. A ring he had received when he was a young boy. It had been an heirloom for many generations. He had spent hours searching his entire house for it.

Suddenly he saw a shadow on his wall. He shined a fluorescent flashlight towards the figure. He heard a swoop, and the silhouette was gone. “Boo” The stranger nonchalantly said. Gerard got startled and jumped not by the word, but being snuck upon. “You don’t know how to greet a new friend do you?” The stranger said with superficial pity. Gerard saw red. While he was fuming and distracted, the stranger opened the box of spiders. Gerard felt a drop of sweat build up on his face.

His hands clenched up. He felt a surge of energy through his entire body and an urge to do… something? He wasn’t sure what but he needed to do something. “What the hell‽ Why do you have a box of spiders‽” Gerard asked, confused, frustrated, and nervous.

“Because I can? I don’t know either man I just work here.” Gerard bared his teeth in anger. “What even is your name?” Gerard asked, trying to steer the situation away from the spiders; he had force in his voice.
“Oh, my name?” The stranger was dodging the question. “Yes, your name. Do you have bricks for a brain?” The stranger practically had smoke coming from his ears at this point. “Alright fine! I’ll give you my fucking name. Zubin, since you want to know so badly.” Zubin extended the words ‘so badly’ he also rolled his eyes.

“Alright so Zubin,” Gerard began, “I’ll ask again. Why do you have a box of spiders; and a better question, where did you put my ring.” He had an authoritative tone. “What are you, The cops?” Gerard said nothing and stared. “Alright, jeez! It’s in my wallet.” Zubin admitted. “Another question, why?” Zubin was caught off guard and stepped back. “Why the actual fuck do you care.” Zubin grumbled. Gerard stared again. “I want to know your reasoning. Is that so wrong?”

Gerard said, with a artificially gentle tone. However, a cactus can’t pretend to be a flower. “How about you… go die?” Zubin had a slight smirk now — he clearly didn’t have any good responses. Gerard once again stared bullets into Zubin. “Fine...! Fine man, I’ll give you your dumbass ring back.” Zubin defeatedly exclaimed. He shyed his head away while returning the ring. “Thank you, but I need you to leave.”
