Work Text:
It was an usual night in Vee's Arena. Bright and colorful led lights texts as a decoration on low and high buildings, screams, fights, sinners killing sinners...
Just a fricking normal night for hell.
But not for them.
Vox took a sip of his whiskey like he was enjoying it with a smirk -which he clearly wasnt when looked carefully, but he would never agree. He was sitting on his spinning chair while watching the chaos outside in his room through his window, legs crossed.
Vox gave a deep sigh, circling his glass in his hand which caused the ice in it to hit and make light 'clink' noises in the glass. While he turned on his back, his eyes finally saw the deer called "radio demon" tied up to the spinning chair which was watching him the whole time unimpressedly. But the smile never faded from the deers reaction even though his ears were flat in defense.
Why?
The deal was it.
The red deer knew his unending obsession with him. He wasnt even intending to use this weakness of that fricking tv head, but Rosie didnt seem to fix his staff anytime soon, so he decided to go in another way to break the deal between her and him.
He despised being someone under hands, so he was gonna get out of this on his own.
Even if meant using some overlords weak obsession for him and being a prisoner for a while.
Fuck.
Vox could feel his tv head slightly getting hotter than usual when their eyes met -damn to his still yearning for him- but he just decided to ignore it. The red deer raised an eyebrow, but he preferred to stay in silence.
"You know I've waited for this moment for almost 70 years??" The tv head finally spoke, the toughness and pride being obvious enough by his tone. But even from his words, it showed enough that it really had a thing on him.
Even though he was trying to hide it beneath his glare.
He placed his glass down at his desk before talking again.
"Im curious." The tv head shifted and put his legs on his desk, crossing them and putting his hands back on his head comfortably before he started talking again. "What makes the princess and her crappy little hotel so great, that the Radio Demon gives up what little dignity he had to left to help out with? Or," as he crossed his arms with his same glare.
"how a guy from the '30s landed in hell, and somehow became the most powerful-" he lifted the red deer's chin by the tip of his shoe harshly while talking.
-overlords??" The tv head raised his pixel eyebrow in curiosity, his eyes slightly squinting both in suspicion and interest.
The red deer hummed consideringly -even though his answer was already clear, but wasnt gonna miss the chance to mock him out for that- , before he leaned away to get away from his shoe and spoke, his voice coming out like in a radio show which was usual.
"Nope. The deal was me being in your captive, and i dont have to tell you anything." He turned on his back by his spinning chair to him, even though he couldnt go away since he was tied up onto it.
The tv head scoffed in annoyance. "Seriously? You usually love to run your mouth," as he used his cables to wrap around him and the spinning chair, pull and turn him back to face him as he leaned close into the red deers face, only a few breaths away from his face while the tv head spoke. "But i assume being a brat is your thing, isnt it??"
The red deer chuckled like he was actually enjoying this, as he bow his head down, the smile on his face never fading. But he suddenly spoke with an underassimating tone and lifted his head to glare at him. "You'd be nothing without those two."
"Excuse me?" The tv head said almost offendedly, raising his pixel eyebrow.
"You really havent changed, have you?" As the red deer leaned back onto his chair, crossing his legs while talking. "Still so reliant on others around you, always seeking someone to put up with your incessant-" he couldnt finish his words by the cables suddenly wrapped around his mouth, shutting him up with a grunt though his smile never faded.
"You know, i think i prefer the silence." The tv head said while he had his whiskey glass on his hand, taking a sip amusedly while smirking since he was successful in shutting him up.
But the sudden voice of the red dears coming out of his speakers on the building wasnt the thing he expected.
"Whaaaat?? Dont want to be reminded of how desperate you were for attention?" The tv head pause in suprise and placed his glass down. He turned his back to look at the speakers. But the red deer didnt stop talking. "Back then, you and i was close to equals as i considered down here."
The red deer finally leaned on his back on the spinning chair, crossing his legs while he looked at the blue tv head which was shining too bright for need unimpressedly. "You had your decent ideas, you were growing your power, and it was aall-most impressive."
The blue tv head scratched the table deeply with his sharp and long fingers both frustrated and annoyedly, furrowing furiously while glaring at down at floor.
"And i respected you." But that sentence made the blue tv head halt, then he lift his head to take a look at him shockedly.
He almost seemed to want to believe those words.
The red deer couldnt help and averted his gaze from his suprised expression hesitantly, before he kept his act up by talking through the speakers on the building even though he had cables wrapped around his mouth.
"And then you went and ruined it." The red deer turned on his back again. "I thought you find me- oh, what was it?" He turned on his back to look at him, then tilt his head playfully while saying that word, his smile never fading. It even widened just more at his own words. "Inspiring??"
That was the last straw for Vox.
He grabbed him by his cables and violently threw the red deer towards the wall furiously. The red deer let out a quiet whine at getting hit to the wall suddenly, his limbs slightly trembling from both adrenaline and surprise. But he was still trapped to that spinning chair, thought the cables around his mouth was loosened and dropped now.
Just how much strong material this chair had?
Vox's tv head buffered for a few seconds from overheating, but he didnt even bothered to take care of it right now.
"Oh, you think youre smart, huh?" He started walking towards him all irritated, he was smirking widely from annoyance even though his teeth was clenching, his eyes twiching. "By provoking me and playing with me like im nothing but a puppet toy controlled by your fingers??"
The blue tv head grabbed the red deers collar from his blazer roughly, before pulling him uncomfortably close and glaring at him with his eyes he used to manipulate other sinners. Both of them could feel their slight panting on their faces.
It almost took a roll on the deer, but he clenched his yellow teeth while smiling widely and push his ears back defensively.
Though he couldnt do anything but let him.
Curse this contract too.
But unexpectedly, the tv head just chuckled cold and roughly as he slip down and get on his knees almost exhaustedly. His hand let go of his collar of the red deers blazer and rested on the deers lap with his tv head. Even the red deer froze in that action, looking down at him like he was a threat to him.
But the tv head didnt care much about that.
He just took a few deep breaths to calm down, before he sighed deeply. He shifted a bit, he didnt care if he was on his knees in front of him. He already took the risk of being vulnerable and weak in front of him, and he couldnt just give up on it.
"Just.. stay here. For tonight. Just once." The tv head muttered, pressing and burying his face into the red deer's thighs. Alastor stiffened up all uncomfortably and gritted his teeth, clenching his hands to not just pounce and-
"..please." but that word made him pause.
He hesitated. Which was rare- because The Radio Demon never hesitated. He was sharp, all defensive, mocking and charming with his sassiness. He showed himself to entertain people after broadcasting their screams one by one.
He wasnt gonna get soft just because some stupid tv head begged him verbally.
But eventually, the radio demon sighed. A bit too deeply. He knew his every single limb was gonna went all aching, so he let himself loosen up a bit.
"...for the past times sake, old pal." He barely managed to get that out of his mouth. He even icked himself for saying those words to an overlord- but he didnt have many ways to run away, or get rid of him and kill the pathetic overlord already.
He watched vox drifting off and actually falling asleep in the long silence. He rolled his eyes at that, but even though he could push or kick him away and mock him for falling asleep so easily on his lap, he just watched him.
Maybe this wasnt that bad as he thought.
But the red deer immediately cursed himself for even thinking like that.
