    Jolene Gaba, First Floret, is struggling with a hint of guilt.

    At the end of her time as an independent human, she allowed a friend to depart from salvation into the wilds of the feralist Free-Terra movement. Their eventual domestication may be a foregone conclusion, but Jolene still harbors a feeling that she could have done something different. Or, perhaps, the fear that her friend will somehow escape the greatest thing to ever happen to humanity. Her Owner offers her a chance to understand just how doomed the rest of humanity are - and how inevitable the loss of the Accord and its offshoots truly is.
