Summary

“What?” Coran added lightly, noticing the look on his face. “Did you think I was strange all the time, just for fun? There is a man behind the madness, you know.” His eyes crinkled. “One who very much likes seeing people smile.”
Lance smiled back, softer now. “Guess I never really thought about it.”
“Well,” Coran said warmly, “you should.”
He stepped closer, resting a hand briefly on Lance’s shoulder, steady and grounding.
“It matters.”
