Racing and Embracing

Summary:

Angela and Ian have a play date

Notes:

This one took a minute

Ian has a lisp when he’s little and can’t say his ‘R’s, but for the sake of your brain, im gonna write it like normal, just imagine any ‘R’ is a ‘W’

Also, please God don't read this Smosh. This is purely poorly written fiction based on real people. Nothing I write is a fact, it's just based off their Internet personas

(See the end of the work for more notes.)

Work Text:

Angela is holding Amanda's hand in the elevator to Ian's apartment.

She's already met little Ian while little, even if it was just at lunch, so she's less nervous about that, but she's still going somewhere new to hangout one on one, and that's always scary.

But Ian said they could race cars, so Angela has her one toy truck tucked in the pocket of her pants.

Amanda knocks on the door and Ian answers, clearly little already and obviously dressed by Anthony.

Or at least, she assumes he is. He's wearing a black shirt under a soft looking flannel with some kind of denim like pants. Little Ian normally went for bright, colorful patterns with characters, so this has Anthony’s touch written all over it.

“Hi!” Ian says happily, stepping back to let the girls in, “I set up the big track,” he lisps.

They greet him as they walk into the living room, finding Anthony on the couch, surrounded by a giant Hot Wheels track.

It starts connected to the wall and goes straight down, with lots of banks and turns, followed by a small jump before the finish line.

Ian smiles proudly at the excited look on Angela’s face, “You bring your truck?” he asks hopefully, looking over at Amanda and waving before turning his focus back to Angela.

Angela nods, pulling her small red pickup truck she got from her first Happy Meal out of her pocket and handing it to Ian.

“Cool!” he compliments, “We race plastic ones,” he tells her, walking over to a large bin of toy cars.

He waves her over and with a light squeeze of Amanda’s hand, she lets go and follows Ian, sitting down next to him as he looks through his cars.

“Gotta find light ones,” he explains, handing her her truck back, “Race metal ones and the truck auto-lose.”

She hums, pocketing her truck again before hesitantly placing her hand in the bin to look, continuing more confidently as Ian doesn’t correct her.

Ian’s pulled out a handful of candidates when Angela finds a plastic taxi. “Ian?” she asks, holding it towards him.

He takes it and nods, “Nice!” he confirms, looking at all the cars, “Eight’s enough for two heats,” he tells her, shoving the cars in his pockets and standing up.

Angela pushes herself to her feet and looks over at the couch to see Amanda and Anthony talking quietly, “Hi Ant!” she calls out, having forgotten to greet him when she came in.

The adults look over and Anthony waves, “Hey Angie!” he calls back, “Have a good race.”

She nods, turning her focus back to Ian as he places three cars at the starting line.

“Put truck in last one,” he explains and she pulls her truck out, standing on her toes to place the truck in the final spot.

Ian points at a small lever next to her, “That makes them go.” he explains, “I count, you pull, we watch.”

Angela hums, moving her hand next to the lever, “Ready,” she says firmly, looking over the track again.

“Three, two, one, go!” he calls out and Angela pulls the lever, dropping the piece of plastic that’s holding the cars and starting the race.

The cars (and truck) fly down the track, going through the banks and turns, all making the jump before a green sedan wins.

“Sorry Angie,” Ian tells the other little, handing her her truck back, but Angela shrugs as she puts it back into her pocket.

“Again?” she asks, unbothered by losing the race.

Ian grins and they return to the start of the track, racing the plastic cars and eliminating one at a time until the taxi wins.

“Taxi!” Angie cheers, rushing over to the adults, “Taxi win!” she tells them excitedly, Ian following behind her.

The adults smile at her, Amanda ruffling her hair, “That’s so cool, bug,” she says, “You like racing?”

Angela nods, “Like marble,” she answers fidgeting with the taxi in her hand.

“Hey bubs,” Anthony says, calling Ian’s attention to him, “Why don’t you go grab what you found?” he suggests.

Ian immediately runs off to his room, quickly returning with something in his hands.

“Angie close eyes, please” he asks politely, and Angela turns to look at Amanda, hesitant.

“You’ll be ok,” Amanda murmurs, gently rubbing her back, “I think he has a fun surprise for you,”

Angela nervously closes her eyes, holding her hands out in front of her as she looks away from Ian and towards where she knows her mama is. A small metal item is placed in her hands and she stays frozen, not wanting to touch it without seeing it.

“Open!” Ian says excitedly, grinning at her as she opens her eyes to see a diecast Tow Mater, “Cuz you like Mater,” he tells her proudly.

She looks down at the toy, moving it in her hands before walking forward to hug Ian. “Thanks you,” she mumbles as she hugs him.

Ian gives the adults a thumbs up over her shoulder, “Gotta have your favorite car.” he says as if it’s obvious, as Angela steps back, “Got Court Mach 5, they keep in my office.”

“I keep too?” she asks, holding the toy out to him.

“Play now, then he can live there.” he answers, pointing towards the track again, “Gotta beat Lightning.”

Angela nods seriously, following Ian back to the bin of cars to sort out the Cars characters, leaving the two adults alone again.

“She's adorable,” Anthony tells her, “We're both so lucky.”

Amanda smiles at him, “It's so interesting to see how different he is, yet exactly the same.” She says back and he laughs.

“He’s spent so much time on camera little, I think it made his two parts closer.” he suggests.

“I know it happened, but it was common?” she asks intrigued, splitting her focus between him and the cars zooming down the track.

Anthony nods, “A lot of the videos on what’s now Pit used to be me and Ian just hanging out, so he’d just be little sometimes when we had lunch or whatever.” he explains, “And when we hired on the OG Games crew, they were all down to be little on camera as well, so we’d do little gaming videos.”

“Why’d all that stop?” she asks curiously, clapping when Angela waves a winning car at her.

“When we hired Keith, Noah, Olivia, Courtney, and Shayne was when it slowed down. DEFY tried to push Courtney to be little on camera and I shut that down when I saw how uncomfortable they looked.” he begins “So with Pit becoming largely those five, there was less little stuff there. Ian and I stepped back a bit from Games, so that just left those guys to be little. Ian had already been lessening his little time on camera, so when I left, he just stopped.”

“After I left, some of the Games crew became part time or left, making the little shoots low priority. By the time DEFY died, it had basically all stopped.” he concludes, “So of who is still at Smosh, only Ian has been little on camera.”

“And he did it recently too,” she remembers, “Lunchtime”

He nods, giving Ian a thumbs up when he points over at a different car toy, “We’ve been thinking of doing more of it,” he admits, “Ian’s pitch is a segment in Bit City, but we’d need three littles to ok it, and Angela to be ok or find a different host,”

“He’s also pitched little Reddit stories,” he adds, rolling his eyes, “That was a pitch while he was little, and he wouldn’t tell me if that meant the stories were about littles, or if the people on the couch were little.”

Amanda laughs, “Have we really never done a little Reddit video?” she asks incredulously .

“There’s been stuff about littles in other videos, but never a little-centric one.” he explains, “We’ve always tried to make sure that only the people that are comfortable with that stuff are around it. So we’d never cast Angela in anything including it.”

She smiles as she watches Angela help Ian put together a new track, “She appreciates that.”

-.-. --- -- . -.. -.-- / .-. --- --- - . -.. / .. -. / ..-. .-. .. . -. -.. ... .... .. .--.

Angela giggles as she watches the cars drive down the track her and Ian built.

The cars move on their own and the track is made of tiny pieces, basically letting them build whatever shape they want.

First they’d build one with a loop so Ian could show her the cars going upside down, but for the second one he told her to think of a funny shape and she picked a middle finger.

So the two tried their best to build a track that looks like a middle finger emoji. It only looks vaguely like one, but they’re both proud of it as they watch the cars drive through the small turns.

“What’s that supposed to be?” Amanda asks curiously and the littles look up in surprise to find both of their caregivers behind them.

“A middle finger,” Ian answers proudly, “Angie’s idea.”

Angela nods proudly, high-fiving Anthony when he holds his hand down to her.

Amanda rolls her eyes, also high-fiving the little girl, “You two did a great job.” she compliments.

“Do you wanna stay and have dinner with them before we go home?” Amanda asks gently, crouching down to be at Angela’s level.

“No food,” the little says petulantly, “No thanks you.”

“That’s ok,” she tells her, “Do you want a shake?” she tries, but the little shakes her head.

“Will you drink a shake? Even if you don’t want one?” she questions, “You’re still allowed to say no.”

But Angela nods, “Don’t want, will.” she mumbles, “Power body.”

“Good girl.” Amanda coos, pulling the little into a hug, “So clever, bug.”

“Drink here?” Ian asks hopefully, “Then movie.”

Anthony laughs, “Who said anything about a movie, brat.”

“I did, bitch.” he answers, standing up to be closer to Anthony’s height, “Please daddy,” he begs with a pout, smiling proudly when he sees him crack.

“If Amanda says they can, we can,” he relents, “That face is too powerful.” he bemoans jokingly.

Angela tilts her head curiously as she looks at Ian, “Movie?” she asks.

“You seen Turbo?” he asks her, grinning when she shakes her head, “About snail racing.”

She looks up at Amanda to see her nodding, before nodding excitedly “Stay.” she says, smiling as Amanda lifts her off the ground.

“What is dinner daddy?” Ian asks as he follows the caregivers to the table.

“Amanda and I are having salad, and I made you nuggies to go with yours.” he explains, looking back at Angela, “And you can have a bite of anything you want.” he assures her as Amanda places her in a chair and Ian sits.

“How do you want your shake, angel?” Amanda asks as Anthony heads to grab the food.

Angela hums, “Movie?” she asks hesitantly, peeking over at Ian who simply waves at her.

Amanda nods, kissing her temple, “Sounds good, I’m gonna go help Anthony.”

She leaves to help Anthony, the two working together to bring the food and drinks to the table. Amanda places a small Pokemon plate in front of her with two chicken nuggets on it, followed by a blue sippy cup.

“In case you want a bite,” she explains as she and Anthony sit, “And it’s Sprite.” she adds.

The group starts eating, talking about Ian’s work ideas both for videos and just ridiculous things he wants to add to the office, like a ride-on train.

“Mama?” she murmurs during a lull in the conversation, pulling Amanda’s attention to her.

Angela opens her mouth and her mama laughs, taking the bite she was about to take of her salad and placing it in the little’s mouth.

“Thanks you!” she chirps, before continuing to nibble on her chicken nugget.

Dinner ends and Angela ended up eating almost a whole chicken nugget and three bites of salad, which was great for someone saying she didn't wanna eat anything.

The group moves back over to the couch and Amanda looks over at Angela who's standing with Ian, the two cutely holding hands.

“Do you wanna hold it yourself, or have mama hold it?” She asks, holding the now warm bottle.

“I do it?” Ian asks hesitantly, looking between the two girls, “Never done before, is ok if no.” He adds quietly.

Angela looks at him curiously, a light blush on her face as Ian gently squeezes her hand, “Mama?” she says, looking over at her, “Pjs?”

She blinks at the change in topic but nods, “That’s a good idea, angel.” she compliments, searching through the bag to hand Angela her Wicked pajamas.

“How about you change too, bud” Anthony adds, laughing when Ian immediately runs off to change.

Amanda holds the pajamas out to Angela but she shakes her head, reaching to be picked up. “We’ll be back,” she tells Anthony as she carries her to the bathroom, letting her pee before she helps her get dressed.

“Are you ok, bug?” she asks gently and Angela nods as she washes her hands.

“If baby, Ian feed, no ‘barrassed.” the little explains after finding her words, “Practice age.” she adds.

“You’re going to try to be littler on purpose so Ian can give you your bottle without feeling embarrassed?” she clarifies, helping her dry her hands.

Angela nods again, lifting her arms up so Amanda will help her change her clothes.

“Are you doing this for yourself too, or only Ian?” Amanda asks, “You don’t have to if it’s not what you want.”

“Maybe baby no bad.” she mumbles, lowering her arms and looking into Amanda’s eyes hesitantly.

She smiles proudly, pulling her into a gentle hug, “Mama is so proud of you Angela,” she whispers, kissing her temple, “Being a baby is so good,” she assures her, “You’re perfect whatever age you land on.”

“Do you want help getting littler, or do you wanna do it all on your own?” Amanda asks, releasing the little from her arms.

“Help?” she answers nervously, smiling slightly at the proud expression on her mama’s face.

“Alright baby, let's get you dressed.” she coos, helping the little get dressed, while verbally guiding her through what to do as well as physically helping.

Angela holds her arms up to Amanda smiling widely when she’s picked up, “Mama!” she chirps, kissing her cheek.

“Cutie.” she coos, kissing her nose before opening the door and walking back to the couch where Ian and Anthony are waiting on the couch.

“Ian!” she calls excitedly, reaching for the other little as Amanda sits on the couch.

Ian grins at her, “Cool pjs,” he compliments, holding his hand out to hold hers again.

But instead of Angela’s hand, he’s handed the bottle. He looks between the three other people in the room confused, but excited.

“I feed baby?” he asks excited, hesitating for a second after calling her that, but she just giggles.

“Baby!” she says happily, crawling out of Amanda’s lap and towards him.

She stops next to him and he looks up at Anthony, “Daddy help.” he asks quickly, not knowing what to do.

He chuckles, adjusting his little’s body so he’s sat in a better position. “Now I pick up the baby,” he narrates, making sure Angela knows she’s about to be picked up. She doesn’t react so he continues, picking her up and gently placing her to be cradled in Ian’s arms.

Amanda immediately scoots over to help him support her head, wanting to make sure Angela is comfortable while Anthony puts one arm around Ian’s shoulder and the other holding Angela’s bottom half, making sure her body doesn’t slip.

“Take the bottle,” he starts, slowly explaining each step so Ian can follow the instructions, “Hold it like this,” he says, miming it for him, “Then bring it to her face and tip it so the nipple part is in her mouth.”

“Angie will open her mouth,” he continues, cooing as she does it before he even says it, “And you gently lower it so she can latch properly,”

“Make sure you keep it like that,” he adds when Amanda adjusts the angle for him, “You don’t want it to go too fast or too slow.”

Ian watches Angela with an awed expression on his face, “Feedin’ baby,” he murmurs proudly, giggling when she clumsily pokes his cheek.

“You’re doing such a good job, baby.” Anthony praises, squeezing his shoulder lightly.

The four sit together in the moment, movie forgotten as Angela eats, lazily moving her eyes between the other three people in the room.

They all look at her with so much love and affection she can’t stop herself from smiling, a small dribble of her shake falling from the corner of her mouth and quickly wiped up by Amanda.

“Happy baby.” Amanda coos, reaching over with her free hand to run her hand through her hair.

Angela lets her eyes flutter shut as she relaxes more into Ian.

Being a baby is pretty cool if everyone loves her this much, she decides, clumsily raising her hand up to cover Ian’s.

“Look!” he whispers excitedly, looking over at Anthony before turning back Angela, “Hi baby Angie.” he coos, peeking at Amanda, “What other hand?”

“This is her favorite,” she tells him, taking her hand out of Angela’s hair to guide Ian’s empty hand to rub her tummy, before moving her hand back to her hair.

Angela relaxes bonelessly into Ian, letting her hand fall back to her body.

Yeah, being the baby is pretty good.

Notes:

This went from light and cute to heavier and still cute.

Wanted to give Angela a good day before the storm comes. She's doing so good with her progress.

Been busy, sorry updates slowed, but I've been writing, just not finishing them

Lemme know what you think!
