He looked up from the pile of datawork required to extract his life from his former partner’s, neck cables tight with tension and stress. It was far harder than it should be and he despaired of ever finishing and being free.
But there was a mug of steaming liquid within reach that hadn’t been there a few groons before and the aroma of Deadlock’s favorite tea in the air and… well, it would be worth it once he was finally done. For the moment, though, he would enjoy this tiny gesture that said his friend cared and let it warm his spark as much as it warmed his hands.
