Brainstorm and Quarks were living happily in Iacon, working together at the research center, living together and being happy, but that happiness is shattered when Quark is diagnosed with an incurable spark disease. Brainstorm was not going to let his conjux just die like that, so after a long research on the subject and teaching himself medicine, he found the key to solving his problem.
A mech called Perceptor had once researched spark disease and written a lot of ways to treat it, in fact, all modern treatments were invented based on Perceptor's notes, but there's the problem - Peceptor had died a LONG time ago without finding a cure and that was it. Brainstorm needed a miracle to save Quark when he got a crazy idea - what if he traveled back in time and saved Perceptor so he could complete his research?

His processor says to bash his helm in until he doesn't think about it anymore.Both mechs are hopelessly awful at addressing what's between them and make it everyone's problem until a poorly timed asteroid and even poorer decisions force them to do something about it
