Chapter 1: Experiment Success?

Chapter Text

It was a very rainy, stormy day. Most of the hotel residents were inside Hotel OJ. In Test Tube's laboratory, the sounds outside were greatly muffled. It was almost peaceful. Test Tube, the innovative one who was always working on some scientific theory or gadget, tinkered with and fixed up what looked like a normal calculator. Fan sat next to her, swaying his legs that were dangling off the chair. He liked to help out sometimes when he wasn't doing anything fandom related.

"Fan, my green screwdriver, please." Test Tube asked calmly after putting in a processor chip.

"On it!" Fan replied excitedly, rushing over to one of the desks, grabbing a screwdriver with a bright green handle and rushing back to hand it to Test Tube.

Test Tube was just finishing screwing the back on the calculator when Lightbulb, with Paintbrush behind her, slid through the not-so-secret entrance, both absolutely soaked with rain head to toe.

"Hey, Testy! Me and Painty wanted to see what you were doing!" Lightbulb said happily, and a little too loudly. It was almost impossible to be grumpy in her shining presence.

"It's 'Painty and I', but yeah, what she said. The hotel is boring, outside is pouring, and here is never uninteresting with you two in here." Paintbrush added, trying to wring out their bristles from the rain water.

Test Tube just stared at them blankly.

The two soon realized why they got that look at they looked down at themselves; the rain water that had soaked them was now dripping onto the lab floor. Test Tube always hated unwanted water in her lab.

"Oh crud, uh, s-sorry Test Tube!" Paintbrush apologized.

Test Tube sighed. "It's fine, I guess. Just don't do it again." She reluctantly said as she put the calculator on the table in front of her.

Lightbulb's eyes shortly locked on the calculator on the desk, and went right over to it.

"Ooh, what's this?" Lightbulb did not wait for a response and picked it up.

"Lightbulb wait-" Test Tube called out, but could only watch as Lightbulb typed out a "simple" equation:

0÷0.

Suddenly, a portal, one with many colors, opened. It was almost hypnotizing how each color swirled in an elliptical shape. The portal grew larger, and larger, before in started to pull things in.

Lightbulb herself, who had been closest to the portal, could barely back away as the portal began to pull her closer. Paintbrush, snapping out of the weird hypnosis of the portal, notices this and shouts out loud.

"Guys, Lightbulb is gettting pulled in!" Paintbrush took a hold of Lightbulb's hand and tried to pull her away, but the portal soon began to pull them in, too. "Help me pull her!"

Shortly, Fan and Test Tube joined to help Paintbrush and Lightbulb, but as the portal grew larger, they realized there as no use. Eventually, the portal pulled the four in, then shrunk as if it never existed.
