Work Text:
It's dark.
Not a tint of light exposed.
It has been like that for the past few years.
Majority of the admins has never been spotted ever since that day.
No one has seen them.
Not a single robloxian soul.
So alot of myths and hackers took note of it, revealing themselves and started harassing the robloxians.
Many choose to keep it that way.
But the remains, the remains of the hackers and myths either hid away — or never bothered to harm a single person.
1x1x1x1 was one of them, it chose hid. Due to the disappearance of it's creator, it hid to prevent any sort of interaction because it knew many people would go after it. Afterall, it was part admin in a way. It's personality slowly changed bit by bit, growing feelings of it's own. Wanting to learn more about themselves, wanting to be known as something more rather than as just another version of another person.
It hated every talk comparing it to him.
Each step of a clank of heels took over the other, hitting the bricked flooring of cement. She fixed the laced fabric of a hood hanging over her dark black hair with a hand with sharp and a dark fade of red as fingertips — being placed at the edge of the hood.
His long black cape with the same laced design of the hood shadowed over his back. The sound of chains hitting can be heard in her surroundings around her waist. A limited of a green crown surrounded with the same colored dominos can be barely seen, but hidden by the messed up black cloak with uneven rips at the ends of the fabric.
His red eyes with a shining red rhombus shaped with spikey edges in one eye being covered by the dark hood. Dark greyed skin being barley seen by the dark coat, hiding the entity from being recognized by the public view.
He looked down, still being able to see the view of different types of shoes in several colors infront of her. Each step she took always had someone almost bumping into her, but instead she moved aside to avoid getting hit with the crowded area surrounding her to prevent from a risk of being forced to be looked a little closer.
In the middle of what seems to be a crowd of robloxians shouting out deals and discounts of the items they sell, another crowd offering expensive limiteds that clearly screams a scam coming from them. Hearing the offer made her hide the limited on her person further to prevent it from being seen by using the long cloak.
He can smell the aroma of snacks and food being cooked at her left side. The people behind the stalls continue to shout out the food they were selling with an unusual high amount of discount, trying to get customers to come over to them to try out the whatever was making the aroma around them smell so good.
Though, 1x1x1x1 ignored every single offer that was told to him. She glanced up with bright lamps and torches being the only source of light that can be seen from the sky that hasn't had a single movement nor star in the past years hitting her eyes.
It spots an exit up ahead, leading towards a deep forest, having the lack of light made the robloxians around it feel fear from going in. The dark branches spiking up — risking clothing being stabbed through and tied up to make the incoming people get stuck. Dense trees giving an eerie feeling of some sort of presence hiding within.
It was a perfect spot to hide in.
Just as the manifestation found a perfect chance to escape the claustrophobic tight crowd it wanted to escape from — a loud shout from behind the entity caught its attention.
"That's him! The remains of Talemon! Get him!"
It turned around in confusion as to how they were able to recognize it, just to see several bounty hunters running over to him, several footsteps being heard unnoticed as the crowd looked at the direction of where the small group was running at. Just then, a strong gust of wind flew by — letting the hood above her head being floan back because the words made it loose focus of holding onto the cloak.
Because of the wind blowing the hood away, 1x1x1x1's presence was revealed. The bright neon green crown tied on the chains on her waist gained the attention of many shopkeepers and customers. They suddenly went in rage to try to get the crown and try capturing the entity before them.
"Dammit." It mumbled out.
He dodges the attack of hands then quickly takes out his daemonshanks and stabs it through it's chest, not feeling any pain from the piercing in the middle of her bright ribcage under the dark clothing. Just then, multiple rotten zombie minions start to emerge from the corpses hidden in between and behind the stalls, one by one — before attacking the small group.
The group had no choice but to fight back at the minions. Robloxians in the crowd continue to get poisoned temporary from the zombies, causing chaos around them. It gave 1x1x1x1 an opportunity to flee from the scene because of how distracted everyone was from her minions.
Footsteps quickly went one after another with a small distance between them, the leaves from the trees start to fall down, one by one — some falling into the fallen hood that was left off, some on the black hair of 1x1x1x1. With no light source other than the chaotic festival being behind her, it made it difficult to see what was infront of it.
But luckily, it was something they didn't worry about in the slightest.
From a far distance, it can be seen. A bright red light silhouette spotted around the right side of the entity. Just when it saw the glowing red, a curve on their mouth started to show up — a smirk. It looked towards that direction and stretched one arm as a signal and spoke loudly at the light source.
"Hey Six! Over here!"
The glowing red started to head towards her as soon as the static voice called it over. It started running on all fours, ignoring the dense trees around it because it was too big for the branches to stop it from it's path.
The monstrous figure made a turn when it was about hit the manifestation, running past infront of her. She then grabs the dark fur it had, but before the two of them were able to run away without any problems — a loud gunshot was heard from the far distance. It was most likely coming from one of the hunters in the previous group that just tried to stop the entity.
It was luckly that 1x1x1x1 was able to escape without an injury because the shot didn't hit it. But instead it hit the monster she was able to get ontop of, holding tight onto the fur. As soon as the shot was fired and hit at the rear leg of the beast, it whined in pain but kept running away. The manifestation clicked its tounge in response of the gunshot and started to rub the back of the monster running ahead and started to try encourage it to keep going.
"You'll be fine Six! Just keep going! We'll heal you up when we get there!"
The monster replied with a grumble, but kept going anyways. The hunter who had previously tried to shoot one of them to get them to stop turned their head and pointed at the direction of where they had ran away.
"There they are! Forget the zombies! We can get them here!"
But before they could look back at the direction the two ran off — a loud slash was only to be heard by the hunter. Just then, they started to fall in a slow pace. They thought that they had probably haven't been sleeping lately and was about to pass out in exhaustion.
They were incorrect.
Instead, they could see their body — just standing at a distance then slowly falling onto the ground with a soft thud. It was weird, they weren't supposed to see their body fall at such a way. And that's when the hunter realized a mask in their view distance, lowering to their level. A dark red substance started flowing around them.
It wasn't coming from the person with the mask, no. It was coming from the hunter.
Their head has been separated from their body, that was why they were able to see it fall from the unusual perspective. They could see the blood flow and staining the soil and grass under them. And that's when they saw a machete from a distance, covered in the same dark red they was oozing from, but before they were able to speak — they had already lost their life.
"You had no reason to kill that hunter, slasher."
1x1x1x1 spoke up to the killer holding the machete on his right hand, standing at the entrence of a cave. The cave wasn't any unusual cave, it had a bright white indoor area — there was nothing but a singular long white table with multiple white wooden seats surrounding the table in the middle of the cave. It was weird for a cave to look so different, but it was said that the admins had made the caves for emergency meetings.
Slasher looked at the scene where 1x1x1x1 kneels down with a medkit in hand, placing it aside, opening it, taking out a bottle of cleanser and places it beside the med kit. She then continues to use her hands to surround the bullet wound and tries to push it out of the monstrous killer laying down with it's sharp tipped hands, making Guest 666 fill the cave with small whines of pain.
The masked killer tilted his head in reply of confusion from the entity's small speech about the scene of separating a hunter from it's head from their body. It was something he was used to doing, but getting scolded by the entity felt somewhat familiar to the killer.
Meanwhile with 1x1x1x1 and Guest 666. She continued to try pushing out the bullet from the beast with the medkit prepared of what was going to happen next, cries continued to be heard by the two killers in the room. After a few more tries, 1x1x1x1 was finally able to have a yellow bullet being pushed out along with a roar from the beast. It rubbed her stomach in comfort to try to calm her down.
"Hey don't overreact like that now, I'll be putting some wound cleanser alight? It's gonna sting a bit."
Guest 666 whined in response, clearly not agreeing with the manifestation. But they both knew they had to take care of the wound now or it could lead to serious problems later. 1x1x1x1 takes the bottle next to the medkit and opens the cap with his bloody left hand.
She then starts to squirt the liquid right on the wound, causing the monster to cry and roar in pain loudly. It made Slasher cover his ears with a small step back while 1x1x1x1's eye twitches from the loud sounds — knowing there isn't much she could do in this situation but keep pouring the liquid on the wound.
After some time of crying and pain, the entity was finally able to patch up with a bandage on the monster and closes the medkit with it's bloody hands staining the bright white box and the first-aid materials. It stands up while holding the medkit by its handle while the beast tries to stand up dispite the pain on his leg.
After a deep sigh from the entity, it could hear multiple footsteps being muffled to the rocky flooring. Slasher turns his whole body in instinct to see who was at the entrence of the cave with a swoosh of his own footsteps. 1x1x1x1 turns his head at the sounds while Guest 666 lays down and slowly shuts her eyes to sleep from the painful bullet she had gotten.
"Sheesh, you know we can hear those annoying sounds right?"
Three more figures made their appearance at the other three in the cave, one having a straight smile across his face — not having any sign of it changing anytime soon. A corrupted arm making him lean over to the right due to how big it looked and how heavy it must have been. The pale yellow skin being impossible to avoid with a cardigan in a similar color but enough to tell the difference, a blue tie and a white blouse under it along with a torn up black cloak covering most of the corrupted robloxian's clothing all together.
A child on the left side of the yellow corruption held his hand with a similar black cloak but having a hood shaped with something poking out like horns being potted over him. The child was mostly red skinned, something that wasn't a normal skin for the robloxians but it looked like the skin was never bothering to the child. He had a small frown on his face while giving off body gestures like he was trying to hide away behind the arm of the corruption next to him.
And finally, the one who spoke up with a glitched voice as soon as they entered the cave. Noli, who wore a black cloak half stitched together with another half of a dark purple cloak that looked like it was handmade. He wore half of a mask, with the exposed side showing a rotten corpse that looked like it was about to fall apart, but surprisingly it stayed like that for many years. And it didn't seem to do the expected anytime soon as well.
"Is Mister Sixer okay..?" The child asked in worry, hesitant about walking closer to the beast but eventually doesn't do it. Instead he hid closer behind John doe.
"She's fine. Just needs a rest." The entity walked passed the sleeping beast and casually and placed the bloody med kit on the white table nearby. It then directed it's eyes to all the remaining killers standing near the entrance.
"What happened?" Noli asked.
"Got shot by those bounty hunters." She clicked her tongue, directing her eyes away from the other's. C00lkidd flinched at the response of hearing the word 'gunshot', like it triggered something in him.
"I'm betting you were there?"
"Hey. I stayed low, just like you said and still got caught somehow." It sternly looked at Noli. The red eye spiked up more than before. It slid one of her heels against the rocks.
"Are you sure?" He crossed his arms, taking a step forward — not avoiding the gaze of the other killer.
"Positive."
1x1x1x1 looked at his hand laid on the medkit. Blood smeared all over it, it stood out compared to its surroundings except the red tint on its fingertips. It looked at the mess it had caused. The possibility that the gunshot could've made a bigger issue if the hunter wasn't in a rush to shoot, the possibility of that one hunter getting more of their teammates if it weren't for Slasher's ability.
It was her fault for causing a ruckus.
As she always was, it was just a failed version of the John Shedletsky. The one that could do nothing but hate on what he always hated. He had all in the world to enjoy his life while 1x1x1x1 was all of his failure piled up into one and sealed away like a bag of trash.
It was tired of all the mistakes it kept making. He wanted to change, and without any admins to keep watch at him. He had a chance to do it, because they were gone now. He was gone.
She looked away from the medkit and directed her eyes back to the others. She knew she couldn't stay with them anymore longer. She took a deep breath before letting all the air out with a huff. She dragged her heals and walked towards the four killers, leaving the other one sleeping behind him.
It started to walk pass the killers with them taking a step aside. The action made Noli look at him in confusion before taking a few steps forward as he continued to walk out the cave.
"1x where are you going?! Are you seriously going to walk away just like that?" He placed his hands on his waist. The words echoed through the entity's head. He then glances at them, C00lkidd looked at him in continuous worry and mumbled out his name — questioning what was going on.
"Going somewhere else. With those bounty hunters after me the most right now, it's not safe to stay with you all."
"You– Why are you so.. caring? You're supposed to be a figurement of Shedletsky's hatred aren't you? Where's the hate you're supposed to have? Not to mention you keep refusing to kill any robloxians. You're supposed to be a hacker, a myth."
1x1x1x1 heard each word, one by one. Reviewing each sentence, analyzing each word. What Noli said was true, all must he have was hatred, all he must be is hatred. But he was tired of hearing that same line repeat over an over as years passed by — 'You're a manifestation of Talemon, John Shedletsky's hatred.'
She didn't look back, instead her arm moved — fingers finding its way to the back of the cloak. Then moving the hood over her head and pulling it towards her face. He took one last glance at four and started to slowly walk to their way after saying —
"I am no longer a part of John Shedletsky."
Luckily for the entity, he hasn't been caught by any of the bounty hunters for a long while. Though it felt unsure at the same time about the quietness surrounding her.
Her hands were still stained with half dried blood from helping out Guest 666. She knew she needed any source of water to clean it all off. But it wasn't able to see any source of water in it's surroundings.
Instead, the entity was in the middle of a forest, it wasn't the same forest as the one where 1x1x1x1 was almost shot at and ran away with Guest 666. The trees in this forest was much more thinner in trunks and stems, the leaves were more drier and lacking in color as many could fall off even by a small tap on the trunk.
It was clear that the state of the current forest he was in was much more weaker compared to the forest near the festival. The grass below him was more had more of a yellow color than the green healthy type.
There were barely any birds to be spotted in the forest, but there were still tweeting and chips of sounds, hinting a sign of life in the area. It never annoyed the entity by its empty felt atmosphere, but it could help her if there is a Water source nearby to wash off thw half dried blood she forgot to wash off from the beast a while back.
It summons one of its daemonshanks, raising the sword surrounded with black and bright green. The color was always able to be recognized no matter how far someone might be, as long as they could see the mixture of colors — they could always know who those swords belonged to.
He raises the sword before swinging it to the branches infront of him. Because the trees were thin and old like a set of thin strings stuck next to each other, it was easy to cut through without a tint of strength needed. The slashes the entity made to the branches made it easy for the sword to leave out small drops of green poison behind them, most of it staying on the trees — burning it bit by bit, but not to the point where it becomes a big problem.
The more the entity walked through the thin forest, ignoring small punctures and scratches the wood made to it's heels to the point of small dents it made to the shoes. The thorns continued to attempt in damaging his already ripped cape, poking it — causing more damage than it already has. The entity pulled the cape up in annoyance from how it made it slow down from it's runaway.
But as the entity was finally able to escape from the disturbance of the thorns, it saw a small flower that stood out from the trees due to its color. It was rather purple, dark lavender. A few petals shaped in stars bloomed before her, in total of five of them. A few leaves were below the star–shaped flower aswell, it was much more in vibrant green and looked healthier compared to the dry leaves in the forest. It was clear that this plant didn't belong in this area, though there was only one question in mind — where did it come from?
Just as the entity looked up from the flower, it saw a tint of reflection — easy to spot from how dark it was; through the shallow woods and takes a step forward, passed the purple flower. It decided to forget about the usual flower temporary, but kept note of it incase it could lead to something important in the future.
He continued to walk a few steps forward, taking note of the increase of the purple flowers speading from the soil in the ground started to change from small grains of sand to a whole beach. The entity stugged to walk through the sand due to the heals she wore not being a suitable shoe type to the sand, making her sink in every step she took.
It had gotten to the point where 1x1x1x1 got tired of the continuous sinking feeling below her and crouched down, unzipping the zipper at the side of the heals starting from the right shoe. Taking it off, letting him feel the coldness of the sand. She then continues to do the same with the other shoe so that she was able to balance itself without having an uneven level under her feet.
It held the pair of heels with a half-dried bloodied hand, because the blood wasn't as wet — it didn't stain the heels so it made the entity feel a small heart of relief. The cape slid infront of it, hiding most of the view of the shoes so it was difficult to see if the entity was holding them in the first place.
After the bothersome heels off of her feet, 1x1x1x1 look forward to see the ocean shore in his view. He started to walk towards it with sandy toes, feeling it become more colder every step in the way because of how it slowly became wet sand from the ocean. She looked down at the small foams, spashing water to his ankles. He places the heals aside, far enough for it to not get a risk of getting wet.
It's bloody hands touched the freezing water, but the temperature didn't bother the entity — it never did. He started to rub off the dried blood with it slowly staining the water, but the wash of their hands didn't remove the red on their fingertips. He looked at his hands after a slow wash, staring at the fingers of the same color. He didn't know when he got the red fade of fingertips, he even thought it was pretty cool at some point. But at the end of the day, it hated it. It hated itself.
Leaving those small thoughts behind, the entity stood up, shaking his hands to get rid of the access water. It proceeded to wet it's feet to get rid of the sand sticking at sole of his feet, it annoyed her but he ignored it. He looked over at the distance where the heels were and walks over to pick it up from the sand. Just then, the reminder of the purple flowers appeared in his head.
Where did it come from?
Why did it look healthy?
Why did it bloom before its very eyes?
When he turned around with similar thoughts and questions appearing in it's head, it spotted something from a far distance. Something it should've seen before anything else.
The same flower he saw before that looked less alive and lacking its bright color, pinned onto a witch looking black hat with a stitched up face on one side along with a bright color of purple under the hat. Long deep rich brown hair flowing along the wind with what seems to be tenticles flowing behind the person's back. A long sheer fabric as a cape and hood, making the back side of their clothing become visible to the entity. The person seemed to be crying with bright purple eyes with tears of the same color, slowly dropping onto the skirt below them. Arms softly placed over each other, with small sniffles coming from the the person looking at the forest infront of them.
They looked like a pretty person who couldn't help but cry in a beautiful way.
The entity looked at the the person far away in confusion. Staring at them, trying to figure out the reason it was tearing up continously. It was able to see the same flower attached on their hat. That person might know about the flowers that kept growing in the forest, or possibly know the reason why it grew in that area.
Curiosity took over the entity. It willingly walked over to the sobbing person slowly with the heels in her hand, somewhat felt upset? Though the amount of sand on it's feet kept picking up increased, it ignored the particles attatched to them, whoever was sitting felt more important than themself in some way — but it remained cautious because of the lacking of information she had of them.
When she was finally close enough to reach the crying person, they were able to hear the shuffling of her clothing — making her gain their attention. They turned their head with small sobs at the entity as she tilts his head, not understanding nor knowing why they were making such a fuss. It groaned before sitting behind them, she crossed her legs and placed the heels aside — ignoring the sand being spread all over their coat.
"Why are you crying?" It asked.
"H-huh? Oh, sorry.." They replied looked at him for a quick second before turning away and started to try wiping the tears off of their face with their sleeves. "That's not really an answer." 1x1x1x1 said sternly at the person with tenticles. They stopped wiping the tears off of their face then placing their hands on their lap and looked away at the entity.
"Answer me."
The person infront of it didn't respond, with their head still turned away having no sign of any eye contact between the two, it was clear that they weren't going to answer with how the manifestation was communicating with them, that's when she remembered.
She wanted to change.
That's not how people try to comfort another is it? She thought. This was something different, it was a stranger she was talking to. He didn't know about this person's problems, or what they could possibly be going through. But all it knew was that this person was probably type of person to get comfort by soft words than something harsh. It was the opposite of what she is, and it could help her change.
"Uhm.. you know.. you can tell me... I won't judge.." it said with slow paced words so the other could catch up and hear what they said. They slowly turned their to its direction, glancing at them. Then eventually they were able to move their body, turning around to face them.
"I'm.. just upset at the forest here.. it's all dried up dispite the ocean being right there.." They pointed at the sea behind the entity, but she didn't bother to look at where they were pointing at but more to how their expression looked. It sighs out, flipping her hood off of her head to expose his black hair. She places both of her hands on her lap and leaned closer at the person infront of them, who leaned slightly back from the movement it made.
"Okay, what's your name?"
"..Azurewrath...?"
"Well then, Az. I know when someone tends to lie or hide stuff and all that. So I know you aren't telling the full story." He said without hesitation, bringing back the sterness from before. Azure blinked from the the nickname it gave him before sighing out in defeat.
"I.. just.. I miss my partner. But.. they betrayed me, around three years ago now. I want to move on, and I hate them for what they did– I really do! But I can't, no matter how hard I try. There's nothing really distracting me from letting go." Tears started to swell up in his eyes again after confessing his feelings to the entity.
It looked at them, not amused by the slightest bit. Not annoyed, nor disgusted, but was more neutral about it. It also spotted a few additional purple flowers nearby started to bloom, possibly making it the mystery of how the purple flowers appeared become quickly solved with the culprit being infront of her.
It moved one of his hands infront of the botanist as a signal of him to place his over hers. He was first skeptical about it, but then slowly did what she intended. The entity sees the purple fade of fingertips he had being ontop of its red tinted fingers. She quickly brushed it off before closing her eyes from the physical contact.
"I don't know much about feelings myself because I'm still learning, I guess. But what I do know, is anger and hatred.. and you... You're like me.." it muttered out the last part. After realizing what it just said, it's eyes widened — hoping that the other person infront of them didn't notice his whisper.
But unfortunately he did, they stared at her in confusion. Not knowing what she had meant by the last part. "What do you mean?" He asked with his hand still placed ontop of theirs. She sighs out before speaking up to him.
"I.. was made by an admin, made to consume all of his hatred. Well he did take care of me at some point and I actually saw him as family, but.. I knew he was just nice to me to give more of his hatred to me. So that is all i feel."
The botanist leaned closer to the entity, making her lean back from how close his face had gotten. Their hand held hers more tightly as she saw a small spark in his eyes, it almost looked admiring, Unfortunately 1x1x1x1 snapped out of his thoughts when Azure started to speak up to him.
"So you were made to feel hate?! But– you act so normal! I don't think you could only feel hate though. I think you're capable of feeling much more than that!"
The comment he said made it speechless. Instead of letting him down by agreeing on how he only exists as some sort of storage, Azure saw him as something that can be able to become much more than that. It gave him the motivation to try harder to reach for his goal.
"You.. really think.. I'm someone.. important? Someone.. normal..?"
"Everyone is! Especially you."
1x1x1x1 didn't notice the smile at the compliment. She let go of the botanist's hand and supports itself to stand up, brushing off the excess specs of sand on her clothing. He then once again, reached out his hand to the other offering support. Which they smiled in reply held his hand, carrying them to stand up before dusting off the sand as well. It then proceeds to pick up the heels and starts putting them on with a small struggle.
"Where are we going?"
He stands up straight after sliding his foot in the other heel, smirking at the other. He grabbed their wrist and pulls them to the soil part that led back into the forest. He had almost gotten her heels stuck on the sand, but was luckily able to escape from it just in time.
"Just going a small trip."
"What is this place?"
Azure asked the entity, but instead of answering she takes the witch hat from his head. He looks at her in confusion while she hands the hat over to his hands making him hold it. She didn't answer his question while she scoots closer to him, brushing his back hair over to his shoulder. Fingers feeling his sheer hood and fumbles it over their head.
"Hold onto your hat tightly and hide it. Because it's a limited, the people here might steal it." She showed a grin at them. They were still confused about her actions and words, but still held on tight to their hat. Her hand felt his softly, fingers Intersecting. It began to pull them close as they peek over to the bright lights outside the woods.
It was another festival. It wasn't the same as the one that 1x1x1x1 had recently ran away from, but compared to that other festival that would be filled with arguments and mumbles about how annoying the people were — this place was much more lively; whereas kids would run around and play games, shopkeepers in stalls actually getting along while trading their items, instruments being played with energy, and bright colorful light shone all over the place.
Azure's eyes widened at the scene, not knowing what it was but the people there were in joy. Just like how him and his past partner used to be. He didn't know what this place was, but liked how much fun everyone in the scene was having. The entity glanced at them trying to understand what was going on and smiled softly. It leaned closer towards them and whispered.
"Let's go?"
He turned to them with sparkling eyes, then nodded continously in agreement. "Mhm!" She chuckled in response before pulling them close and walking into the festival.
A few next hours of just the two of them hanging out became a fun experience for the both of them. Walking into a new festival while hiding their limiteds aside; trying out new snacks for the botanist, played a few minigames together, found some glowsticks given by the little kids, Azure's hat almost being stolen but was luckily caught by 1x1x1x1.
After having a night of enjoyment, the two of them were suddenly stopped at a booth by the bounty hunters finding the entity again from the past festival. As soon as they saw them running towards them, shouting and pointing out at her. She grabbed the botanist's hand and started to run with him behind her.
"We gotta run!"
Normally, the entity would be serious in this type of situation, trying his best to loose the hunters. But with someone like Azure behind them, they felt more alive — like even if she got caught right here, right now. She wouldn't regret the past few hours she spent with them.
They ran away to once again, another very dense dark forest. It was much more crowded than the last one she has been to, so they were both able to loose the hunters, guving them another attempt of failure in getting the entity. They both giggled as soon as they realized this, instead of having to hide somewhere safe — they talked casually. Talked about their lives and surroundings. It even made the botanist to praise one of the trees while they walked by.
"So you were in a cult?"
"Yeah, unfortunately that was the reason why my old partner stabbed me. Turns out I was a sacrifice."
"No wonder. I would've left them too if that were to happen to me."
"Well, technically it was them who left me.."
1x1x1x1 stared at the botanist as he continued on with his ramblings, appreciating every word that he said — no matter what he ranted about. They stared at him, wondering how could they feel so attached to them. Was it because how beautiful he was? Or maybe because he saw her as herself, not as someone else. She wanted to know more about him. She stopped walking while he continued, they noticed the sudden stop and turned around — tilting his head.
"Hey."
"Hm? Is there something wrong, 1x?"
She directed her eyes away for a few seconds before looking back at theirs. Then takes a few steps forward to sand infront of them, they were close but not too close to him. She slides her fingers through a few strands of his hair and tugs it behind his ear, then proceeding to place his palm onto his cheek. Having the cold touch of her hand on the side of his face felt comforting, he leaned into the touch with a slight blush.
They both stood there for a while, feeling each other making small physical contact. The entity decided to make a change of movement first after a short time of silence between them, bringing their empty hand to the other side of his cheek with a small rub using its thumb. Then slowly, she leans in closer. Letting her unzipped lips to make contact with theirs, giving them a long kiss. Azure allowed them to make their move by wrapping his arms around her neck and pulled her close, tilting his head to lean into the kiss further. The two of them stayed like that for a few minutes, seperating their lips for a few breaths of air before making contact again.
After a long while of sharing their love and affection to each other, they were finally able to break the kiss — huffing in exhaustion. The entity placed his forehead onto the other's while staring into his eyes, admiring it. It began to move his hand to the back of their hair and started to play with the stands. Azure started to place a small kiss on the cheek as a way to thank it for the affection it gave him before going back to making eye contact with each other.
"You're... so pretty..." it mumbled out to him, making the botanist blush in slight embarrassment. "Well.. don't ever stop being yourself... alright..?" They mumbled back, the entity nodded in agreement before sliding both their hands onto his waist and giving him a soft hug. Azure smiled at the motion before hugging the entity back.
"I see them! Over here!" One of the hunters had found them while running towards the two of them.
"Ugh, they're back." 1x1x1x1 groaned as his comforting moment with Azure was disturbed and pulled away from the hug with them giving a small chuckle because of the interruption. "Time to run again." It whispered to him. "Yeah, let's go!" The botanist giggled as he held onto her hand and started to run away while draging the entity away to escape from the bounty hunters chasing them far behind.
