Msak_ logged onto minecraft, after deciding to mod his game once more. For the fun of it, he decided to add the Minecraft Comes Alive mod, Afterall you could marry other players with that mod..And why wouldnt Msak want that? Wouldnt hurt him to try offering that to Ptolemy afterall. He managed to invite Regect, Moe and Ze for this aswell, Just so he could have someone as support for this.
Msak spent his last 3 hours building the perfect cliffside area for the proposal idea, but..he did feel a little bad having to hide this from Ptolemy, even going as far as to ask for him to SPECIFICALLY not follow him. That was suspicious! If anything Ptolemy could be spying on him right now, what suprise would that be??
He thought to himself as he put down a pot and put in a rose. If he's watching, its not like they know what's the ocasion. Maybe he'll think its just a small date, that's all. Not like he can predict a WHOLE wedding proposal, and thankfully he managed to hide his tracks about the mod being downloaded in the first place by changing some things around. Atleast he hoped he did.
Well, After fixing everything, Msak_'s little area for operation 'Get married to the entity in your computer that wanted to eat you' or "GMTTEIYCTWTEY" was finished! [ He should come up with a better name..] He checked if the engagement ring was in his inventory, It had a purple gem atop instead of a normal diamond. Fit Ptolemy more in his eyes. The rest of it was made of rose gold. He decided to pick up a walkie talkie. "Hey Z, yeah..Yeah everythings ready. You guys can get into position.. He's distracted right?"
Z answered on the other end. "Yeah, He was about to come this way but Moe and Regect started averting his attention. Should we let him go??" He looked back at the scene, Ptolemy was arguing with Regect as Moe was throwing water bottles around. Trying her best to divert the attention away.
"Yep! Let him come up.. Just hide in the bushes." Msak gave the sign, And turned the device off. He sat down on the blanket watching the sun, slowly go down. If he counted right.. Ptolemy should be here in 10 minutes. At the Perfect hour when the sun goes down.
He sat there with his hand in his pocket fiddling with the ring. He sat looking over the cliffside until he heard the bushes, alongside hushed arguing and honks, probably the three getting into position in the bushes. Alright..Just keep waiting. Its going to be fine. He was kind of sitting there thinking this over. Was it really stupid of him to do? What kind of sane person asks a entity to marry them in minecraft of all things?...But, How is it that an Entity only was able to provide more care and love to someone than any human ever could? How is it, that entity meant to feed off his fear, pushed aside its hunger? How is it that this entity, that he's suppoused to fear. Was the best thing that happend in his life?
He heard something approaching and looked back. Ptolemy approached, he looked still slightly annoyed but calmed down the second he saw Msak.
...
He has no regrets, if it means being able to be happy like this? If it means being able to have someone alongside you? He doubts 'not being a normal human' would get in their way. They love eachother. And that's what matters. Even if he's some huge bug thing, even if in real life he's suppoused to be this horrific monster, He's still human in a way. He still loves, like one. He smiled and began typing.
Msak_> there you are lol
Msak_> i thought you'd be too busy to show up
"Blame my cousin for this..He decided a spontaneous visit was important for some reason.."
Ptolemy made his way over to him, and sat by, Curling the rest of his bottom body a bit to not take up so much of the blanket.
"..."
"...So, Is there a reason you've been avoiding me the whole day?"
"You havent even had something playing in the background for the last 3 hours."
"It's Unlike you."
Msak fiddled again with the ring in his inventory, moving it around until he got ready to type again.
Msak_> well
Msak_> ill start of with its not because im upset if thats what youre worried about :3
"I could see that now."
Msak_> awwe come on
Msak_> i could never do that to you
Msak_> you mean alot to me yknow
He gently elbowed Ptolemy, the bug creature kinda rolling their 2 pairs of eyes.
"Yes yes, You mean alot to me too, however"
"Do i have the permission to know why this place of all locations?"
Msak took a deep breath. "Here goes nothing." He mumbled under his breath as his fingers were above the keyboard.
Msak_> wellll
Msak_> i may have gotten a new mod.
"I saw."
"Minecraft comes alive, wasnt it?"
"You left a bouqet infront of my door."
"Only mod that has that i'm pretty sure."
Right..he did do that and seemed to forget about it.
Msak_> i thought maybe if we could have a mod were we could do that stuff
Msak_> our world would feel more lively
"..."
"Mason. Can i open your camera?"
Msak_> huh
The use of real name caught him off guard again, even if he already used it before.
Msak_> i mean sure but why lol
"Well, You dont sound convincing."
Now or never, come on.
His fingers once again were above the keyboard, He hesitated but took a deep breath.
Msak_> ptolemy
Msak_> i just want to start with
Msak_> from the day you entered my life, you changed it for the better
He was looking straight at him.
Msak_> and i used to tell myself
Msak_> that this'll never work, that you werent real and that i'd just hurt myself more than anything and that i should just find a way to get this over with
Msak_> but

Msak_> I couldnt bring myself to
Msak_> i couldnt find it in myself to do anything to you
Msak_> i love you more than anything really

Msak_> being able to know you're real
Msak_> even if
Msak_> there's been times where you scared me half to death

Msak_> because i dont have to feel like i'm insane or something for being in love with you

He hesitated for a second. Until the next chatbox apeared.
"...Mhm?"
The small light of his camera turned on, He's watching. Come on just do it!
Msak_> i wanna ask you this
He typed into the command bar, "/mca propose"
Msak_> will you marry me?
He looked straight into the camera after typing this out. He looked, insanely nervous as he put the item in his offhand in the game. Ptolemy just sat there staring, clearly suprised.
"...You do know. That being married through a mod isint something that'll carry to real life?"
Msak_> It could though
Msak_> if anything i could find a way for it
"Mason."
"Dont do this to yourself."
He recoiled a bit in suprise and his eyebrows furrowed as he began typing again.
Msak_> no
Msak_> i dont care what you are
Msak_> i dont care how horryifing you can be
Msak_> and i dont care you could kill me
Msak_> i love you, and i want to marry you
Msak_> in a game or in real life
"But It's still unhealthy for you isint it?"
"To sit infront of a screen so long just because of me."
"I dont want you to stay like that."
Outside the screen Mason sighed, Damn it he was hard to convince! He had to give another idea..He was clearly watching his frustration though.
"Are you frustrated because of me?"
He asked, His head tilting.

Msak_> it doesent have to be like that always
Msak_> you can come out the screen remember
"the last few times i nearly gave you a heart attack."
"I dont want you to be jumpy around me."
Msak_> well

"..You wont give up until i agree, will you?"

Msak_> unless you have a real reason or youre not ready

He saw ptolemy shift around a bit, and look around. He really was nervous to tell him. The camera light turned off.
"I feel like i dont deserve you."
"Here you are, telling me you love me."
"But i still cant help but think you deserve someone the same as you."
"Someone Human."
So this what they were on about? Mason let out a quiet laugh under his breath and began typing again.
Msak_> ptolemy
Msak_> can you hold me outside the screen?
"..You know i can."
Msak_> right well do you love?
"...I try."
Msak_> do you function?
"I do. Where are you getting with this?"
Msak_> then you're human enough to me
"But i dont look Human."
Msak_> well i couldnt care less
Msak_> you're perfect to me
Msak_> and we love eachother dont we?
"..."
"We do."
Msak_> then
Msak_> that's enough for me :3
He moved his character close to the other and did a makeshift kiss.
Sure, Mason couldnt really feel it in real life, but, Ptolemy definetly did since he looked away after like he was embarrased.
Msak_> we just need a few papers, and we'll be really married, ill register some stuff for you
Msak_> but once again

"..."

Ptolemy moved closer and took Msak_'s hands in his. And Mason swore he could feel a presence weighing over his hands.
however after that agreement..
"YES!!!!" mason called out in his room and leaned far back, throwing his arms up into the air. He unfortunately fell over with his chair, the thud was loud.
Ptolemy kinda stared at Msak_ not moving and decided to check his camera once again. All he saw was his feet up in the air. And a part of the chair. Is he, okay
"Mason"
"Mason are you okay"
There wasnt really any reply, but he did get up off the floor and fixed his chair, once he saw the camera light, he smiled and gave a thumbsup.
As soon as he sat back down tho..
"FINALLYYY" Regect called out and the three walked out the bushes, Moe threw around water bottles as fake confetti, Ze had his hands in his pockets and Regect threw his up in the air in annoyance. "Took you both long enough." He recalled. "...Did you seriously spy on us?" "NOT spying if your fiancé or whatever he is now, asked us to help him set this up." As Regect and Ptolemy started to argue again, Ze walked over to Msak, turning on the voice feature"Congrats man. Even if its minecraft of all places." "C'mon, I'll find a way to make it real." "Pff..Never took you for the guy for fraud." "Oh its not fraud, cmon." "Not yet atleast, I could get you some tips how to fake a few though." "Honestly? Would be great, gotta register Ptolemy as a human one way or another.." "Still tho. I'm the best man right?? I have such a speech in mind." "Yeah you are- Just dont bring up anything embarrasing." "How about I'll bring up that when we were 14-" "HEY!! ANYTHING BUT THAT-" both of them laughed.
