Chapter Text
You’d think a demon would be smart enough to get whatever it wants right? Not Bendy, of course not the clumsy, autistic little guy. Everyone else around him has a love of their own. Alice has the one producer guy Damian she rambles about on occasion, and Boris is just happy cuddling with Bendy and Alice each night. And Bendy’s all fine and dandy about that. He loves his friends like they’re his siblings; Boris’s older brother and Alice older sister. But there’s something the ink demon has always accepted he’ll never get. Love. Like in the girlfriend type way. He’s never really felt what love is, so he’s just accepted he’s aroace. That’s what he thought for a long while now and it’s proven him good… until he realized he wasn’t.
It was meant to be just another day in Toonworld, the place where all cartoons are made. It operates like Hollywood in many ways but it’s totally different. The campus is set up in different sectors of cartoons; Comedy, Tragedy, Horror, Action, and Gore. All the cartoons are organized into these sectors and given their own zones in that sector. For example, Bendy lives in the Comedy sector in the ‘Bendy the Dancing Demon’ area. It’s based off the cartoon style, so his area a black-and-white busy city. His area has all the characters in that cartoon in it, basically all the zones are a different universe. There’s also sub sectors for every 50 zones based off the show style. Bendy’s sub sector is Black-and-White, right beside the Colored sub sector. So yeah, this place was BIG. Big enough to have its own subway to connect the sectors.
Bendy was in he and his friend’s apartment, #312 on the 3rd floor of the building they lived in. It was early in the morning, so he was in his big fluffy bed in his bedroom. The lights were off and door shut to the outside. He loved it when it was dark. No one was around to drag him into the busy world beyond. Nothing could disturb his sleep. Just perfect quiet and deep sleep. He’d typically be frolicking in a meadow filled with wildflowers or underwater in a coral reef. But it was just dark, which he was happy with. Then without warning, his bedroom door opened. A honey light filled his room and bugged him awake. He was still buried in his comforter so he wasn’t completely blinded, just grumpy.
“Morning our darling devil!” Alice called out all cheery, enjoying Bendy’s annoyance as he grumbled.
“It’s not 8 yet, I guarantee you!” He protested, untucking his face from the blanket.
“Yes it is. Come on now, we gotta start getting ready. The day awaits.” She smirked.
“Fine…” The demon grumbled, pushing the blanket fully off.
His eyes were squinted, but could see Alice slender figure in the doorway. Her long black hair was in a messy ponytail down her back. White pearly skin contrasted her deep emerald eyes and beauty mark on her right cheek. She was still in her nightgown and wasn’t wearing her signature makeup yet, which kinda amused Bendy. She was still way taller than him, but still. Her halo hung close her head and wings safely tucked behind her back. She almost looked totally different from her show self, which was the one and only Alice Angel.
“I have the main bathroom by the way. Use yours.” She stated before walking away.
Bendy rolled his eyes at that and dragged himself out of bed. His limps barely worked this early, making every move hard. He stumbled to his bathroom while silently admiring his room. He had a decent setup to; bed in the back left corner, PS5 and TV in the right corner, desk and wall covered in drawings on the left, closet on the right. His bathroom was next to his dresser as well which was a plus for him. He limped inside and peeled off the pair of boxers he only wore to bed as he climbed into the shower. It took a little twisting, but the shower came on. Too bad his sleepyhead was in the shower when it turned on, blasting him with freezing water before it warmed up. That definitely woke him up as he let the water run down his body. Little purrs left his mouth while he watched the sweaty ink run down the drain. He left the shower shortly after a quick scrub, standing in front of the bathroom mirror. He stared at himself with unsatisfied eyes.
“Oh my, I’m a mess.” Bendy muttered as he stared at his reflection.
The black ink from his horns ran down into his equally black hair that went down to his chin, straight strands dripping black. The only part of him that was white was his face, which also had ink running down it. His eyes were a rich midnight blue and freckles black like poppy seeds on his face. The rest of the ink demon was black as his hair, everything dripping along with his thin demon tail. He patted himself dry with a towel hanging on the back of the bathroom door and sprayed a little deodorant. He left the bathroom a little clean cut man, rummaging through his closet for a suit he felt like that day. He picked a white collared shirt with a light matte licorice vest and dark licorice dress pants. Each piece slid onto him like gloves, along with his white gloves and socks. After he ran back to the bathroom to brush his teeth in his never ending smile. He did so and gave himself one last admiring glance. His hair was now fluffy and loosely curled, his bangs forming a loose X on his face. The ink demon tightened his little black bow tie around his neck and bore his sharpest smile, confidence growing.
“Why look at you, the darling devil? Aren’t you a handsome man?” Bendy flirted with himself not opening his teeth to talk, “It’s your time to shine, go get your shot.”
With that little pep talk, he strolled out his room into the hallway that led to the living room. Boris was in the living room sitting on the couch. His long ears stood high on his head above his effortless curly hair. He had the same body color as Bendy, but the top of his snout was black with in under side white. His eyes were blueberry compote blue with his tip of his nose pink. He wore a dress shirt with charcoal pants with suspenders, a blazer placed over his shoulders. The dog looked up as Bendy entered the room and used sign language to greet him.
“Good morning Bens!” Boris signed, a bright smile on his face.
“Good morning Boris! How’d you sleep?” The cute demon asked, heading to sit with him.
“Just fine. How was yours?”
“Good. Where’s Alice?”
The dog gestured to the kitchen, where Alice was bent over the stove. She was wearing her signature short black dress Silk white champagne gloves went up to her elbows. Her dagger sharp eyeliner and black lips matched her curly black hair reaching down to her lower back. She finished what was she was doing before walking out carrying a massive stack of pancakes smothered by maple syrup.
“Hey boys! Want some breakfast?” The angel asked.
Both the demon and dog nodded eagerly, drool dripping out their mouths. Alice just chuckled before walking up to the couch and placed the plate on the coffee table.
“I’ve already got forks.” She said, passing out the forks.
With that, the trio tucked into the pancakes. Bendy ate ferociously and excitedly as Alice always made the best pancakes. Boris rolled up five pancakes into a burrito and ate it with his hands. Alice only had three pancakes, easily full. Bendy finished the rest of them gladly while wagging his little tail happily. When they were done, Bendy carried the plate to the kitchen. Alice and Boris headed to the front door and pulled their shoes on. Bendy followed after them as he pulled his little shoes on. Alice grabbed her purse from the coat rack and turned her head to her companions.
“Ready guys?” The angel stated.
“Yes!” Boris signed.
“YES!” Bendy cheered, now fully awake.
“Ok, let’s go boys!” Alice rooted as she pushed the front door open.
The door revealed a hallway full of doors, with an elevator at the end. The trio made their way down to hallway and to the elevator. They made it down to the front lobby, walking through the crowd of ink people rushing about. The trio walked out the front doors into the city, the surrounding city big and loud. They walked through the city until they reached the city’s subway. Heading down the stairs led them to a sliver train with its doors open. Boris entered the train first while Bendy and Alice followed. They slid into the closest seats as the train pulled away from the station. Bendy crawled onto Alice’s lap and curled up there, knowing he was safe. She pushed his head onto her shoulder with delicate fingers.
“You’re more of a cat than a demon!” She laughed as the demon blushed a little.
“You’re warm…” He mumbled, enjoying the cuddles.
The train led to the film grounds, where the morning officially ended. So he just wanted to enjoy the last minutes of the morning before life started. That’s how his mornings started, and he enjoyed it that way.
